Realizing that this person wasn’t leaving anytime soon she peeled over the box. Aurelie’s back was turned to her but she recognized her from anywhere. She cursed under her breath and ducked.

Aurelie heard something and turned around, not seeing anyone. Was she not alone? “Hello?” she called quietly, looking around. “Is someone there?”

@MusicElle-is-here

Aurelie huffed. “I know you’re there. I’m not going to hurt you.” She walked even closer, glancing down at the person hiding behind the box. “…Caterina?”

@Spider-man

“Good,” she mumbled but then got an idea. “But since you’re in town maybe you should go talk to and meet some people.”

@MusicElle-is-here

“Like I would take advice from a liar,” Aurelie spat out, still not turning around. She walked to the edge of the roof to descend again. “Goodbye.”

@MusicElle-is-here

Aurelie did manage to get back to the castle, though she made several wrong turns and had to backtrack. “Stop following me,” she said once she was alone. She wasn’t entirely sure if Cat was following her or if she had imagined it, but if she was wrong no one would witness it.

@Spider-man

Cat made herself visible. “No until you’re safely in that castle! I’m not have your death on my hands,” she admits looking around to make sure there really wasn’t anyone around.

@MusicElle-is-here

“You made it clear you don’t care about me, so either you were lying or you’re stalking me, and if it’s the latter I swear I will get you put back in prison. So please, Caterina, tell me why you keep playing games with me,” she said, turning around to face her. The look in her eyes was livid, though she kept her poise just she always did.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Then don’t. Stop trying to ‘protect’ me if you don’t give a damn about how I feel. I can protect myself.” Her hands were at her sides in fists.

@Spider-man

She laughed “You really think you can protect yourself? The people of this town are desperate. They think for a second that you have money they won’t hesitate to take it. I’m surprised you even made it this far everything about you just screams rich girl,” she hissed stepping closer.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Then Eli can come with me. I don’t need help from you. You’re a thief and a liar and you don’t care about anyone except yourself! Just get out of my life!” she cried, hands shaking.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Really? That’s all you have to say to me?” Aurelie responded, Cat’s words fueling her anger. “Meet more people! It’s not like I haven’t tried! I have three days left and your plan is meet new people! It’s my life, Caterina!” Aurelie realized she definitely sounded like she was a spoiled princess throwing a tantrum, which she kind of was, but she didn’t care.

@Spider-man

“Exactly it’s your life that’s on the line but do you think that won’t affect other people?” She asked shaking her head.

@MusicElle-is-here

Aurelie wasn’t sure what to say to that. It was a thought that had plagued her often enough. That was the kicker for her. She had accepted that she might never wake up, but her people… She felt herself beginning to tear up again. “You think I don’t know that?” she asked softly. “I know I’m not what these people deserve. Just…please leave me alone.” God, she was pathetic.

@Spider-man

“You are exactly what your people deserve. That’s the thing you’d make a great leader but you won’t even have a chance if you die,” she said through gritted teeth.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Why do you care, anyway? I thought you hated me,” Aurelie snapped back, pouting. Why was she acting like she was seven instead of seventeen? She just wanted Cat to leave her alone.

@Spider-man

“Because I care about the people of this town and in some ways you as well,” Cat half lied. She cared too much about Aurelie. She wasn’t sure what to do if Aurelie well…

@MusicElle-is-here

"Please. Just. Go." she spat out, turning around and beginning to walk away. She didn't want to deal with this right now. Her heart was aching for her people, and, like the whiny child she was, herself as well.
