he shrugged "a bit, though i think that was more for spiritual representations if anything." he filled the glass bellow halfway for both before taking a sip

"True." Nathaniel sipped his wine. "My parents drank a lot of wine, so I was around it a lot."

V nodded “who were they?” He asked, sipping the wine ”are they still up there?”

"Christina and Tobias Windsor." Nathaniel replied. "I believe my father was relatively high ranking, but I'm not sure about my mother. About whether or not they're still up there, I'm sure they are unless they're dead."

“Tobias I recognize, our lieutenant talked highly of him but I don’t think I’ve ever seen them though.” He glanced up as the waiter came by with their dishes. He thanked him and unraveled the utensils and started eating

Nathaniel nodded and mimicked V, taking a bite of his dish. "Mm… it's good. How's yours?" He asked, taking another bite.

“Pretty good, want to try?” He asked, holding out a forkful of pasta, chicken and a piece of shrimp.

"Sure." Nathaniel bit the food off of the fork and chewed, humming softly. "Pretty good. Want some of mine?" He asked, getting a forkful of his own food and offering it to V.

“Sure!” He leaned fowards and took a bite of the food from the fork. “Mmm, tastes good,” he hummed with a smile, returning to his own dish

Nathaniel smiled softly and kept eating his own food quietly, occasionally taking a sip of wine. Eventually, he'd finished his glass, but he didn't feel buzzed or anything.

“Want more?” He asked, pointing at the glass. He was close to finishing his own dish and set some aside to take home

"Sure." Nathaniel took another bite of his food, watching V pour some more wine. He sipped it when he was done.

V set aside the dish and watched Nathaniel eat his food with a soft smile. He sipped from the wine glass, still on his first cup

Nathaniel soon finished his meal and kept drinking his wine. Despite his size, he seemed to actually have quite a good tolerance for alcohol.

V raised an eyebrow in slight concern but said nothing as they both continued to drink the wine. When the waiter came by, V asked for a box for the extra food and the check

Nathaniel finished his second glass of wine and decided to stop. They were about to leave, anyways. "Did you like your food, love?"

V nodded and glanced up "you certainly did," he smiled and nodded to the empty plate of food in front of him. He decided to give the waiter his credit card instead of cash and waited for it to return. "want to take it with us?" he asked, jerking his head to the half empty bottle of wine

"Yeah, it was good." Nathaniel thanked the waiter and looked up at V's question. "Are we allowed to do that?"

V nodded reassuringly “they don’t really save the bottles or the extra wine in case people drink directly from the bottle. They let us take it as long as we have an ID.”

Nathaniel nodded as well. "Alright. I see no reason why not to, then. I guess we should ask the waiter first?"

“Just in case, yeah we should.” V glanced up after a while if waiting when the water came back with V’s card. V asked about the wine and the waiter nodded “yes of course, you can take it.”

"Thank you, sir." Nathaniel dipped his head politely and picked up the bottle. "Ready to go, V?"

V stood as well and nodded his thanks. He glanced back at Nathaniel and raised an eyebrow “sir?” He asked with a laugh “so polite my love.”

Nathaniel blushed a bit, looking away. "Angel heritage, love… and anyways, I feel like being formal is appropriate here."

V nuzzled Nathaniel's hair and smiled "yes it is, I just find it cute." he pressed a kiss to the top of his head and led him out the door

Nathaniel huffed, grabbing onto V's hand with his blush lingering. "I'm not cute…" He muttered.

"no, you're adorable and quite literally the most innocent thing in this world." He corrected, peppering his head in kisses

"Noooo…" Nathaniel whined, blushing harder. "I'm not innocent either. I… I can fight, and stuff…"

“Yes but you still are very innocent despite that.” He laughed softly and gazed down at Nathaniel “you poor baby,”

"Yeah, you're so mean to me…" He huffed, stubbornly looking away from V.
