"I'll take that as a yes." She smiled brighter at the puppy and then around at where they were, "Maybe we could check out that library right now, since we got kicked out of the other hallway."

@gracehustle

"I'm sure they'll allow Leo once they see how adorable he is," She replied with a matching smile, looking down at the puppy and how curious he was as he wandered after then and sniffed everything in sight.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay smiled. "Mm. I bet so." he replied, and looked at the puppy as well. Leo was bounding around the hallway, staying near them as he sniffed at everything in sight.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay smiled at her and the puppy, and held the door for Delia as they went inside. He looked around with a faint smile, thinking of the stained book in his bag, back in the room.

@gracehustle

The library wasn't huge, but there were several rows of books running through the room, each labeled with the genre. Delia smiled at the older man who was sitting behind the librarian's desk and continued looking around, noting the chairs and few other places to sit that were around, with a few being occupied as well by soldiers or other regular people.

Jay looked around the room, then at Delia. "Well. Shall we find some books?" he suggested. He picked Leo up and tucked him under one arm before the puppy could start causing trouble.

@gracehustle

She nodded eagerly and walked towards the shelves of books, happy when the librarian just smiled at Leo. It had been so long since she'd had the chance to read a book, it wasn't something that she was able to do freely when she was out surviving on her own.

@gracehustle

Delia soon was busy looking through the shelves, smiling when she recognised some books and pulling others out to read the back and see if she wanted to read any. There was a wide variety as well, from old textbooks to nonfiction all the way to fantasy and fiction. The part she was currently exploring was the fiction section and all its tales.

Jay kept looking, Leo still tucked under his arm. The little puppy squirmed and wiggled, trying to escape his hold. When Jay didn't let go, Leo let out a bark. Jay sighed, and reached over, gently holding the puppy's mouth shut. "Shh." he said softly.

@gracehustle

(uggg lol I'm trying to think of things that could get this rp going a little faster again since I'm bored of just writing little snippets lol)
Delia found herself lost in a book after a few minutes, one of her favorites. She had pulled it off the shelf to read the first page but before she knew it she was pouring over it, standing in one of the aisles propped up on her crutches with the book in her hands.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(lol samee. But idk what to do lol)

Jay sat down with a book, the puppy braced between his knees. "We need a leash for you." he said fondly, petting Leo's head gently.

@gracehustle

(Same lol, I'll think of something eventually tho)
Leo's tail just wagged and he tried for a little bit to wiggle out from his legs before giving up and settling in. Delia was still stuck in her book, reading and seeing the book play out in her mind.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(lol)

Jay started to read, making sure to keep his legs firmly clamped around the puppy. He didn't want to have to chase the little dog through the library.

@gracehustle

It took a few minutes, but Leo eventually seemed to settle down, just looking around curiously instead and exploring that way. With the puppy settled down, the library went back to the normal quiet, with footsteps or pages turning being the only sources of noise.

@gracehustle

After a while, standing became uncomfortable and Delia pulled herself away from her book to make her way over to a chair. She saw Jay and Leo a little ways away and smiled, going over and tossing her book next to them as she sat, "Found a good book?"

@gracehustle

(Sry i was gone so long I was skiing all weekend and didn't have free time)
"Whats it about?" She asked, sure to keep her voice down so they didn't get scolded by the librarian. Delia picked up her book again and opened it to the page she had dog eared, not reading right away though.

@gracehustle

She smiled and looked down at the book, "Adventure and battles." She fiddled with the side of the page for a moment as she found her place again and then went silent, getting sucked back into her book. After a few minutes though, her head dropped to Jay's shoulder as she tried to make herself more comfortable while reading.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay smiled. "Oh, nice." he replied. He shifted a little when her head rested on his shoulder, but soon returned to his book, letting her rest her head on his shoulder.

@gracehustle

It was nice, being able to do something as normal as reading again, even with the ever present thought in the back of her mind that something this normal would never last. As she poured into her book her mind slowly began to wander away from the story and to what the plan would be after her leg healed. She knew Jay didn't find it as nice as she did here, mostly because he could be found out at any time, but maybe this could be the place that she could help bring down the ship in the sky and get her world back. Who knew what Jay would think of that plan though.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay leaned his head on hers lightly as he read, shifting to get more comfortable. He was nearly completely absorbed in the book, though part of him was still watching out for any dangers.

@gracehustle

She tried to focus her thoughts back on her book several times, rereading the same paragraph over and over but not being able to focus. Eventually she just sighed softly and gave up on reading, abandoning herself to her thoughts and leaving her book open in her hands so it looked like she was reading. To an extent, it was safe here and she felt safe, but she still felt antsy as well, almost like she wanted to leave even though she knew that if she did it would be back to scavenging. Plus getting out of here would be tricky. They didn't let anyone out unless you escaped.
