"…oh." he replied after a moment, blinking. He shook his head a little. "Alright. October 22." He said, glancing over at her for a moment, then set another wet dish on the counter.

Jade nodded picking up the plate. ”That would actually make you a Libra, which is the sign of Justice, balance and harmony. A bit surprising, but it makes sense with your comment about being gold as Libra’s social on charm alone.” she explained.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded slowly. "I see. And what are you?" He asked, glancing at her. "Although I have to say, I'm not very into justice. Justice would put me behind bars for the rest of my life." he chuckled softly.

Jade rolled her eyes. ”It doesn't have to be ”Justice” justice. It could be personal justice or something like that.” she smiled. ”Believe it or not, I’m an Aries. Which means I’m very driven, hate being inactive and excel at multitasking.”

Jade shook her head. ”No, it's not you.” she confirmed. ”It’s just one of the aspects of Zodiacs that I’ve never seen proven and don't really agree with. But some believe certain signs correlate with each other in regards to relationships.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

(I have to go to bed now. Good night!)

Killian nodded, then chuckled softly. "I see…and I'm guessing that Aries and Libra are…compatible, then? And that's why you blushed?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

(Goodnight!)

Jade nodded slightly. ”Yes, they are. I only blushed because it was an unexpected thought. As I said, I don't put a lot of trust in Zodiacs and I have never seen the relationship characteristic proven before.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian chuckled. "Oh, I see." he replied, laughing quietly. He set the last dish down on the counter, and stretched. He picked up a towel and dried off his hands.

Jade smiled a little shyly and started drying the last plate, wondering what to do next. Should she finally leave or stay and get to know him better? They were never really enemies in her perspective. Rivals, sure, but of the people she knew that she didn't like, he wasn't on that list.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian looked over at her. "If uhm…if you want to hunt down whoever hurt you, I can help with that." He said slowly, setting the towel on the counter and raking a hand through his hair.

Jade froze for a moment at his offer. The fact that he was willing to team up with her to help stunned her a bit. Truthfully she hadn't really thought about what she was going to do regarding that. ”I thought you didn't care about justice.” she finally let out, teasing weakly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I don't." He replied cheerfully. "I just don't like other people beating you up. If anyone gets to fight you, it's gonna be me." He gave her a light, teasing smile.

Jade gave a light chuckle and shook her head. ”Thank you for your concern but I really shouldn't go after… anyone. I'm supposed to be a hero and they don't usually take revenge or whatever this would be.” she explained not looking at him. ”A small part of me would like to but… I think… I might be scared… to find out.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian tipped his head. "Well…think of it this way. If they hurt you, then they're probably hurting other people, too. In which case, isn't it justice to go after them?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Jade smirked a little as she followed his line of thinking. And maybe if I think of ”Jade” as someone else, it'll be easier to solve this. ”I don't think it was just some random thug. The drug was shot from a gun… I don't know if a silencer was used.” she found herself admitting.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian frowned, and nodded. "I see…either way, it still may have happened to others. Since you don't know for sure, you can assume it has, and take them out. See?" he grinned.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Brainwave nodded, straightening her posture. ”You may be right, something about it did feel coordinated. Like they had done this before. Perhaps the only reason I got away was because I'm not a civilian.” she pondered in a thoughtful tone. ”There is something else that I'm not sure of but I suspect it may have been attempted…” she hesitated, refusing to make eye contact.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded. "Alright." he replied with a shrug. "I'll help you if you want or need my help. Otherwise…" he shrugged again. "You can do what you want." he gave her a small smile, wondering why her behavior had suddenly changed, but not questioning it.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Jade took a deep breath and let herself relax a bit again. She was partially glad he didn't ask what she meant. She wasn't sure she could say it yet. ”I would be very thankful for your help, Killian. I… I don't know if I can face this alone yet.” she returned the smile a bit shyly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded. "Alright. When do you want to leave?" he asked, picking up his mask and putting it on his face. He grinned, looking like a bandit now. Looking like Hex.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Jade laughed comfortably at his eager antics. ”It’ll take a few minutes for Sparky to get here, so you'll have time to change out of your wet shirt and into full costume, if you want.” She smiled as she slid her arms back into her suit and picked up her helmet.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Jade rolled her eyes with a smirk. ”Oh calm down. Your secret is still safe. Sparky’s just my bike… Well, he’s the A.I. in my bike.” she explained. ”I’ll make your home a hidden location on his systems.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded slowly. "Uh huh. Alright." He replied. "I'm going to go get ready." He said, leaving the room. "Don't mess with anything!" He called over his shoulder.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Jade shot him a playful glare before putting on her helmet. ”I won't.” she said through the electronic voice filter. She waited for him to be out of earshot before she addressed her vehicle. ”Sparky. Activate.”
//Hello miss.//
”Engage autopilot. Set destination: street of current location.” she kept her programs short and simple until she made the next upgrade details.
//Locked on location.//
”Oh, and Sparky? New driver designation. Designate: Brainwave. Confirm?” she smiled softly as she set this command.
//Confirmed, Brainwave.//
