Sam's eyebrows had been raised in surprise when she gave a small smile and said, "Roof? Shade suggested the roof?" She nodded, respect on her face. Her mouth stretched into a smirk and she shook her head in mock disappointment. "Silas, Silas, Silas. We obviously don't know each other well enough." Her expression changed again to a wide grin. "Because that sounds amazing, and just the kind of thing I would like to do." She punched Silas lightly on the arm. "Come on man, I'm not gonna fall. And if I did, I'd do a backflip or something, so at least I could look cool."

A muffled laugh escaped Silas' lips as he covering his mouth with his hand. You couldn't see clearly, but from the creases in his eyes he was smiling the biggest smile he had ever smiled. (Obviously). After regaining his neutral composure, Silas shrugged his shoulders in defeat. "Alright then, if you say so. The roof it is!"
There was still the risk of being caught by someone…
"Tell you what, if you can get us up there without being noticed, you get the first swig."

@Moxie group

Sam was already opening the window when Silas said that, and hearing it made her turn around. "I mean, you're totally on, but I am honestly more worried about you getting caught than me. You know what," she walked over to him and grabbed the bottle from him. "I better take this. I have a feeling I have more experience climbing things than you do." With the bottle tucked under her arm, she finished opening the window and climbed on to the window sill after checking that no one was outside.

Blake had only a small, unnoticeable light to read his book. He used it to compare the stars he saw with the pictures in it, then writing it down in his star diary. I should go in soon… Probably. He thought, then ignoring that thought.

@The-Magician group

ExcUSE me? Silas was disgusted by Sam's comment. He happened to be rather good at climbing things: buildings, fences, you name it! Granted, Shade helped a little, but that was besides the point. He grabbed the black pouch and lighter from the compartment, tucking them into his back pocket as he made his way to the window ledge.
"Lets see, the pipe to the left is a little loose so you'd only be able to hold onto it for a maximum of 5 seconds before needing to put your hand in the indent of the roof tiles. Place your foot into the chip of the wall and quickly haul yourself up. Remember, your weight goes into your arms, not your legs." Shade stood on the window ledge, looking around the outside area. "*Of course, you already know that, don't you?" the grin on his lips was sly, even for him.
"Yes I know." And before Shade even had a chance to move, Silas was already doing exactly what Shade had said. He was on the roof, shifting his balance to even himself as he stood up, glancing down at Sam. "Do you need some help?" he half whispered.

Min-Hyuk decided to climb on the roof. Just for some fresh air. And maybe he could draw up there? He took his little sketchbook and his little charcoal pencil in his pockets and quickly hopped out of the window and onto the roof. They had a big brick chimney on top that he hid behind. Just in case anyone went looking for him. Though he knew they wouldn't. He wasn't worth looking for. That was his thought process anyway. He didn't even know why he was here in the first place. He was only dangerous to himself right?
Then his memories flooded back into his mind. One's that he had blocked out. His back against the brick, a violent shiver was sent down his spine. That's right. He was dangerous to others also. That's why he was there….right?

@Moxie group

"No, fuck you," Sam half-whispered back. Who did he think he was, climbing onto the roof before her? A second later she had climbed up right next to him. "How the hell did you do that so fast. What the hell man?" She sat down next to Silas's feet and popping the cork off of the bottle, took a swig. The alcohol burned as it went down her throat and she welcomed it, feeling alive for the first time in a while, thanks to the cool air, the slight adrenaline rush, and the boy next to her.

@The-Magician group

Does she want an actual answer to that or is she being sarcastic? Silas wondered as he crouched down next to Sam. A slight chill wafted through the air, and Silas' first instinct was to ask if Sam was going to be warm enough up there, but he knew better than to question that girl. Is she angry at me?
He took the pouch and lighter out of his pocket as he sat down, and began the makings of a rollie. Hmm, I'm running out of Rizla, that's unfortunate. Silas turned to Sam as he placed the filter into the paper and began to roll it. "Did you want?"

@Moxie group

Sam stared upwards, watching the night sky. Last year she had stayed with a family in Washington that lived in the mountains, and she had loved sneaking out at night and watching the stars. That was a particularly bad home and watching the stars had kept her grounded. She was thinking of the snacks she would eat and the blanket she would wrap around herself when she realized Silas had spoken. She looked at him. "Hm? Oh." She smiled, and it was more genuine than it had been in a long time. "No thanks. I don't smoke, it messes with my lung capacity."

"Could you two be a bit quieter please?" Blake asked quietly, looking down at them. Don't push them over the ledge, don't push them over the ledge, don't push them over the ledge. He repeated in his head, twirling his pencil around his fingers.

Min-Hyuk stayed quiet as he sat hidden behind the brick. Hearing everyone talk made his anxiety go haywire. They were on the roof after all. And believe it or not, he was really scared of heights. Every time he came up here, he would have to suck it up and deal with it. With paranoia comes with a lot of fears. But over the years he's learned to deal with it. But now, all that was on his mind was to not be seen by the others.

@The-Magician group

Silas shrugged, lighting the rollie in his mouth, and took a long drag. He couldn't help but smile when he saw the genuine smile on Sam's face.
"Point 1 to Silas, you've inadvertently made her happy." Shade sighed, looking down on the two of them. "You might want to take back that bottle before she completely drains it."
Silas was in no rush to get the bottle back from Sam, she looked like she wanted it more than he did, and he wasn't inclined to ruin her happiness now. Upon hearing Blake speak from somewhere higher up the roof, Silas turned. The other boy wouldn't be able to see his blank expression. "We're whispering you idiot, how much more quiet do you want us to be?"
"I could push him off the edge for you if you wa–"
NO! We do not kill people Shade! Silas flicked a bit of ash in Shade's direction, turning his attention up to the stars. "They really are beautiful from up here.."

@Moxie group

Sam jumped when Blake spoke behind them. Her head whipped around. "Jesus, man." She took another drink and nodded aggressively to what Silas had said, gesturing her hand in a 'What?' position. She softened, however when he mentioned the stars. "I was actually just thinking about that." She slid her phone out of her pocket to check the time and put it back. She took another drink and sighed. "Give me like ten minutes and I might just be tipsy enough to tell you what I was thinking about." She smiled and offered the bottle to him. "Want some? It is your's after all."

Deleted user

"Not talking so I can document the stars would be nice." He muttered under his breath, looking back up to the stars with a sigh. Now would a very good time to push someone off the ledge, don't you think? A voice whispered, Blake turning his head only to realize it was just one of the voices.

@The-Magician group

Silas took another drag, releasing a plume of smoke into the air, silently switching with Shade as he carefully took the bottle from Sam. Half of it was gone in a matter of seconds. Silas' body had become used to the taste of alcohol, so the burn wasn't quite as unbearable as it used to be. He held it back to her, a wild spark in his eyes as he whispered. "Have the rest if you want. I want to know what you were thinking."

@Moxie group

Sam snorted as she took the bottle back. If she had seen his face she probably would have been at least a little scared, but she hadn't, so she just said, "Yeah yeah, chill out," as she smiled. She didn't drink anymore though for the moment. She would be drunk enough in a few minutes anyway. "So Shade suggested the roof, huh? You haven't told me much about him, but he sounds cool from that."

@The-Magician group

"Well," Shade grinned, staring up at the stars. "he's a highly misunderstood person. Most people think he's a murderous psychopath, but really all he wants is a friend." He took another drag, stubbing out the butt on a roof tile, releasing the smoke through his nostrils like a dragon. Only a few more minutes…
"I swear if you do anything—"
*Shut up, I know what I'm doing!
he cut Silas off, rolling up another cigarette. He lit it, watching the smoke spiral into the air in front of him. He always loved the way smoke, and fire, would dance. Something about it was oddly calming.

@Moxie group

Sam laughed softly. "Silas that sounds so scripted." She looked up at the stars and slid backward until she was resting on her elbows. She didn't have to crane her neck this way. She blinked lazily, not caring about much of anything at the moment. Sam tried to think back to a time when she had been this relaxed but if it existed she didn't remember it. Normally that would scare her, but she was too drunk to care at the moment. "Murderous psychopath huh? Sounds like a fun guy."

@The-Magician group

"Oh he is," Shade whispered happily, gazing down at Sam. A sudden twitched graced his neck, his eyes flickering over every inch of Sam's body. While being ordinary, his inner self thought, she really is quite beautiful.
"You know you want to.." Parisa whispered into his ear, her expression sly. "All you have to do is reach out."
"Don't you dare, or I swear to god I will submerge you in water!" Silas called, trying to take back control of his body. His struggle proved fruitless, and eventually he went back to watching everything from the sidelines. Silas cared a lot for Sam, and if Shade was going to put that friendship in jeopardy then he was going to have to be prepared to fight the guy.
Shade sat a little closer to Sam, suddenly curious about her change in mood. Lightweight. "Something tells me, you calling him a 'fun guy' was something of sarcastic."

Blake got a lungful of smoke and coughed, moving his hands up to his throat. Oh god, it's the fire. I knew the fire would come, I knew it! His panicked thoughts came as he screwed his eyes shut.

@Moxie group

“Oh no, you figured me out,” Sam said in an even more sarcastic tone. “Let me tell you something man, I am always sarcastic.” She laughed softly, though it was less of a laugh and more sharply exhaling through her nose and smiling. She didn’t notice that Silas was closer to her.

@The-Magician group

"Always sarcastic huh… Any other person and I would hurt them over that." Shade mumbled to himself, and as much as he wanted to hurt Sam, he couldn't. The girl meant a lot to Silas, he didn't want to do anything that would intentionally upset his host. Though he'd be lying if he said he didn't want to run his fingers through her hair.
"Do you think you could tell me what you were thinking about now?" he asked, inhaling another breath of smoke.

@Moxie group

She finally looked up to glare at him, suspicious, playful. "And why should I tell you?" She sighed and looked back up at the stars. "I was just thinking. . . . I don't know about you, but I've been in a lot of homes. Well, there was this one in Washington. It . . . wasn't good. But it was beautiful there. They lived like half a mile from anyone else and there were a ton of trees and a ton of stars. And when things got bad I would steal snacks and a blanket and sneak out on to the roof. To look at the stars. Kept me sane. I'd count them and shit. Or try. I like it when there are too many stars to count." She smiled softly, starting to count the stars above her in her head. "There, I spilled my secrets. Satisfied?" She slurred the last word, not pronouncing the 't'.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

Min-Hyuk got rather curious as he listened in on them. Though he did try to mind his own business. He wasn't the best at that though. He turned around to just take a peek at them. Luckily he was in a place where he was almost impossible to see.

@The-Magician group

Shade stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide as he stared at Sam. He had no idea that she was so hurt inside. Sure, he knew that everyone in that home has was missing a petal or two, but to actually see the pain firsthand was an entirely new feeling. He wanted to smile, possibly eve laugh, but he couldn't bring himself to be mean to Sam. "Yes, I am satisfied." he replied, mimicking her slurred tone. "Thank you."

@Moxie group

Sam nodded. She turned to look at him and smiled. Her eyes sparkled. “Mkay now I think it’s only fair if you tell me something about you. I get you’re not as drunk as me buuuut I don’t care.” She blinked innocently at him. His eyes were pretty green. Like, really green. Huh.

@The-Magician group

"You want to know something about me?" He asked, slightly taken aback. She didn't know it was him, as far as Sam was aware it was Silas who was talking to her. Shade tried his hardest to keep his walls up, but the sparkle in her eyes ignited something inside him. Happiness? The need to protect her? He didn't know, and he wasn't sure if he liked it. "Well uhm…" he thought for a moment, trying to think of something that Silas wouldn't mind him telling the girl. "What do you want to know?"

@Moxie group

Sam shrugged, still smiling. It may have just been her muddled brain, but she thought there was something in his eyes, though she couldn't place a finger on what it was. Whatever it was, it didn't seem bad. "Fuck man, I don't know. Something that you don't tell people. Something that say you'd only tell your really good friend when you're drunk on a roof looking at stars. Somethin' like that."

Deleted user

"If either of you fall or get pushed off this roof, I'm going to laugh," Blake muttered down to the two, just loud enough for them to hear. You should be the one to push them. They deserve it for interrupting science time. A whisper floated off to the side.

@The-Magician group

Shade sat there in silence for a moment, his eyes flickering from Sam's smile, to her small dark eyes, her smile, her beautiful hair, her delicate hands, and God that smile. He forced himself to avert his gaze as Blake's voice interrupted his thought process. His eyes flashed with something dangerous, only briefly, as he glared up at the boy. "If you push her," he hissed. "I will murder you."

Deleted user

"Do it. I beg of you. Kill me." Blake hissed in response, shutting his book with a snap. "But don't get any blood on my books. These are important."
