The locals of the kingdom ran away from the explosion, some in silence, some screaming, and some… didn’t seem to make it. Amidst the flames of the explosion was a shadowy figure. Nothing was to be noted from the figure’s movement other than the fact that wherever the figure pointed their index finger at, there seemed to be an explosion and for longer they hold their finger at a certain point, the bigger the explosion would be. Though… their body looked as if they weren’t doing it willingly and sounds that can only be assumed as cries as be heard from the figure.
Cat turned on her heel and followed whoever had just run past her. Plag was instantly bracing himself on her shoulders so he wouldn't fall off as she ran. The armor she was wearing was slowly being stripped off giving her more speed. She raced out to the field real fast and snatched up the enchanted bow. Strapping it to her back and pulling her other bow out. "Plag stay here," she said, to which Plag replied by hopping off her shoulders and hiding himself in her cloak that still lay on the ground. Then Cat ran towards the town where the explosions could be heard.
Luc watched the person in the middle of the chaos for a moment before getting in close. "What are you doing? Do you need help? What's wrong? Can you stop?" He fired off a round of questions, letting his magic seep into the air around them.
The figure exclaimed a shocked expression before turning towards Lucisan.
“This scent…” the figure muttered, smoke still covering them so that their shadow is the only thing anyone would see “…prince of Candorin… what are you doing here—“ they raised their index finger up at Lucisan as it glowed “—please… leave before I hurt you…” they said the last part while tearing up as the string from his finger fired, sending out a large explosion which hit the building right behind Luc.
Luc ran up to the figure and tackled them, bringing them to the ground and holding their hands still. "You're going to be okay." He muttered to the person, giving a smile. "And you know I don't lie."
The figure was a pale young man, blonde with burnt edges, a green eye and one other eye black with a reversed Selas’ kingdom symbol in it. They were in a black coat with crimson lapels.
“Please your royal highness…” the right index finger of the figure was pointing at the ground as the figure shed a tear “…leave” the explosion right underneath the figure and Lucisan, sending them both upwards.
Syzen smiled at the reaction.
“Indeed, you can try it on if you’d like to, it’s quite light compared to the other armors” he claimed as he gestured to the armor.
There were some things worth noting about the armor; bladed curves that represented fins were on the armor’s arm pads and leg pads, the cape of the armor was a white translucent cloth, and most of the armor’s ‘openings’ had net-like cloth covering them.
"I see a lot of thought has been put into the design of this armor."
Pasha shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets. He couldn't see himself wearing it, from the outside the armor just didn't appear to suit him at all.
"Are you sure I'm the right person for this? I just don't seem to match the armor…"
Luc took the brunt of the explosion, he, however, still held onto the figure. "I am going to help you godsdamnit." He grunted, arms crossed around the other and not moving. "How can I get it to stop?" His magic seeped into his words, just like his truth serum slipped into the air.
Cat perched herself onto a roof and drew back an arrow. She spotted the fight going down between Luc and whoever was attacking. She took aim, but didn't fire. It looked like Luc was trying to calm them down, and if that was the case she didn't want to be the cause of them not calming down. So she held her position in case the figure over powered Luc.
Syzen nodded in confirmation as he gestured once again at the armor.
“Oh right, I almost forgot” a harpoon like lance came out of the wall.
As the weapon came out, was the same time the explosion sound reached the insides of the palace.
“Only…” the finger of the figure aimed straight at his own hand “…only a knight named Horologium can help me—” the sentence ended immediately after the string of explosion was sent to the figure’s own other hand, releasing themself from Luc’s grasps.
"Shit!" Luc cursed, looking around. "Who the fuck is Horologium?" He muttered, realizing he probably should get the armor back on. The armor released from the badge and covered his body as he shook his head side to side.
“Leave this to me!!” Phoenix launched themself from a building’s top and grabbed the figure by their neck, attempting to pull them down to the ground.
“Get a hold of yourself!! Basilisk!!” The woman in flames yelled out to the coated man.
An explosion occurred between the two figures, parting Phoenix’s and the crying man’s closure.
(Well. Shit went down while I was asleep.)
Cat readjusted her aim to target the man causing the explosions, again. He was moving at random it seemed but she was able to follow him. 'Just like a scared deer…' Then something clicked. 'A scared deer… this man is scared, I don't think he means to do this.' She moved her aim and fired off three shots in succession. All three arrows landing just in front of the man causing the explosions. The moment she fired though, she moved from her location to a different roof.
(Well. Shit went down while I was asleep.)
(I can help with this)
The librarian snapped and jumped out the window right in front of him. His eyes were determined on the explosion alone.
If someone was to look at the librarian after he left, he would be in his signature black and white armor with net like carvings from head to toe.
Xara flinched and dropped her book on her foot. She turned around with a curse. "What the hell?" She called annoyedly.
The coated figure causing the havoc flinched at the arrows and looked at where they came from. At that instance…
The Phoenix grabbed the figure by the neck again and threw him towards Lucisan.
“Flaming Feathers” the girl in the armor muttered softly as several feathers of fire launched at the coated male, burning off some of his outermost cloth and exposing some skin which is now prone to magical attacks.
Syzen nodded in confirmation as he gestured once again at the armor.
“Oh right, I almost forgot” a harpoon like lance came out of the wall.
As the weapon came out, was the same time the explosion sound reached the insides of the palace.
Pasha stumbled a little upon hearing the explosion. "Where on earth did that come from??" and he wasn't talking about the lance. Although it was an impressive item to see before him. Back to the explosion, if the palace was under attack, would he be forced to fight to keep it safe? He'd never been in a real fight before, and the thought of it scared him a little. Pasha turned to Syzen with a determined, yet fearful, expression. "What do I need to do?"
Luc tackled the scared man again, this time shoving on some flameproof gloves that he had for some reason. Don't question him. "Shhh, it's going to be alright." He told the crying man, rubbing his back.
Xara carefully looked out the window before hopping out to get closer.
“The best thing to do right now? Go see what’s going on…” Syzen eyed at the single window in the room “…we’ll talk later” with that his body disappeared without a single trace.
The man in fear cried out.
“Stay away from me your royal highness!! I’m a monster…” the figure teared up “…nothing else!!” A black layer of substance covered the figure completely and pushed Lucisan away.
“I am nothing…” a voice came from the black sphere.
“I am nothing… but a monster…” the sphere exploded and revealed a serpent like creature the height of three stories up, black scales and wings, and crimson eyes.
Xara blinked. "Well. That's new," she commented, somewhat frozen. "Are random attacks normal for these people?" She wondered faintly.
Luc looked at the creature for a moment before uttering one word. "Fuck…" Luc rubbed his temples and sighed. I did not fucking sign up for this. He thought before yelling. "You are not a monster and I do not lie!"
Reticulum stood by Xara.
“No, not often but—“ his hands were covered in some kind of sticky string and seemed like they were ready to fire “—definitely not the first time this has happened…” he launched himself at the creature and attempted to lock its mouth shut only to be sent back by its tail.
Too fast the librarian thought as he landed.
The creature turned to Lucisan and smashed its tail onto him. At that moment, there was an opening that can be spotted on its back where no scale was covering.
Luc smashed backwards into a wall, knocking the breath out of him. He probably broke a rib or something. He saw the opening and yelled. "DON'T HURT HIM!"
Xara sat down cross legged against the wall and watched. "At least it's quality entertainment."
“The best thing to do right now? Go see what’s going on…” Syzen eyed at the single window in the room “…we’ll talk later” with that his body disappeared without a single trace.
Pasha hesitated for a moment before nodding his head to the air. He ran to the window and gazed out at the commotion below. His eyes widened in horror as he saw the creature, and a couple of human shaped figures around it– one of whom appeared to be winded by the wall. I feel like I'm supposed to do something, but this doesn't concern me… None of this concerns me really… Is it strange to be feeling left out?
Cat heard the yell, and took aim. "Sorry mister, but I don't think we have much of a choice. If we don't stop him lots more people could be hurt," she muttered to herself as she readjusted again. Then she pulled back, and put her arrow back in it's quiver. She hooked her bow onto her back and hopped off the roof, making her way towards the scared man. She moved until she was directly in front of the man and then she stopped.
