"Because, as you can see, it works much more efficiently." Celeste finished applying the paste, sitting back on her heels.
"And I don't have any mortal paste," she added in a quieter tone, slightly embarrassed.
"Because, as you can see, it works much more efficiently." Celeste finished applying the paste, sitting back on her heels.
"And I don't have any mortal paste," she added in a quieter tone, slightly embarrassed.
Mary nodded and shrugged, she would literally agree with anything Celeste said. "Alright."
Screwing the lid back on the paste, Celeste set it to the side.
"I have a few questions for you," She started.
"Okay, what do you want me to tell you." Mary cocked her head to the side to listen.
"A name would be nice." She smiled; she was tired of thinking of this girl as just the mortal; she wanted a name to associate with her pretty face.
"Oh… My name, I didn't share it…" Mary looked sheepish before she held out her hand in greeting. "Hi, I'm Marilyn, but you can call me Mary."
"Well, Mary," Celeste smiled at the name as she shook Mary's hand, "I am Lady Celeste. But please, just call me Celeste."
"Okay, Celeste, that's a lovely name."
Mary returned the smile with one of her own crooked ones.
"Why, thank you. Your's is lovely as well." Celeste tilted her head, enjoying this.
"And so is your smile and your home." Mary added, her eyes gleaming.
"Don't forget your smile and eyes." Celeste moved to sit with her back leaning on the bed.
"Your hair and voice." She retorted, an impish smile on her face.
"Your height and your fierceness." Celeste liked this; it was a good way to see what they like abo- oh herself, was she flirting with a mortal?!
"Your height and your kindness." Mary pushed her slightly cracked glasses up a bit on her nose as she talked. You're flirting with a goddess you raging lesbian.
"Your glasses and your flirting skills." Celeste straight up winked at Mary.
Mary's mouth went into an O. "My flirting skills, or my flirting?" She asked with a smirk.
"Both." Celeste leaned forward, putting her head in her hand.
"Perfect." Mary purred, mirroring the action with her own body.
"I'm glad we can agree on that." Even though Mary was on the bed and Celeste was on the floor, they were easily eye level to each other. With them both leaning towards each other, they were no more than a foot apart.
Mary, why are you flirting with a GODDESS! YOU'RE AN IDIOT, YOU FLAMING HOMO! Mary's mind screamed at her, which she ignored in favor of looking at Celeste.
"You know," Celeste said, smiling, "You're quite the bold one, aren't you?" She tilted her head towards Mary.
"I have been told that before, yes." She smirked, her eyes crinkling in humor. Her mind was, still, screaming at her, but she just ignored it.
"I find it endearing," Celeste said, moving closer. She gave a sweet smile.
"I'm glad you do because I'm going to be here for a while." She laughed softly.
"That's true," Celeste said. Finally, she was right next to Mary, shoulders touching.
"Is there anything else you want to know about me?" Mary asked, an eyebrow raised.
"There are a few," Celeste noted.
"Like what kind of food you like."
"Anything, I like any food, especially sweets." Mary looked like she was thinking about sweets. "We didn't have a lot of sweet things in the village."
"Especially now that you're not there," Celeste said with a smirk.
Mary was delighted. "Will you teach me how to bake?"
