@Bananapudding

"Hey," Sorin lightly tapped the tip of his nose. "You weren't being 'bitchy', you were…" he struggled to find the right words to say.

@Fraust

Cas stirred a bit at Sorin's sudden increased heart rate, as his head on on the angel's chest. He was still asleep for now, though.

@Bananapudding

Sorin gently pried his small fingers off of him, one by one, before he quietly scooted away from him, cringing each time the bed made a squeak.

@Fraust

Cas whined in his sleep when Sorin left, but he soon huddled into the blankets and seemed to settle down.

@Bananapudding

Sorin let out a sigh of relief and slowly crept towards the door. He opened it and pressed a hand against it to prevent the creaking from being too loud.

@Bananapudding

Sorin stopped for a moment but proceeded to leave the room. He found Kyoko there, leaning against the banister with her arms crossed. She gestured for him to come down the stairs.

He shut the door as quietly as he could before he jogged down towards her. It was awfully dark around the house with only a few torches to light it.

@Fraust

Cas woke up a few minutes after Sorin left and realized he was alone. He panicked, per usual, and ended up tearing all the sheets and blankets off the bed. He hid beneath them on the floor, trembling. None of this was likely audible from where Sorin and Kyoko were.

@Bananapudding

The two silently walked down the hall– the Grand Hall as Kyoko called it. Sorin felt uneasy, terrified for Cas's safety or the possibility of him being angry with him.

Kyoko seemed to catch on. "He'll be fine. No need to worry."

@Fraust

Cas meowed softly, trying to figure out where Sorin had gone. He didn't know for sure, but he wasn't going to come out from beneath the blankets for a while.

@Bananapudding

She led him down the stairs, the darkness getting thicker the more they descended. He could see Kyoko reach for something in the dark.

A lamp.

There was a huge door in front of them made up of steel and gold. Kyoko walked over to it and pulled out a key from her back pocket.

"What is this place?" Sorin asked. "I thought we were going to the weap–" The door made a loud groaning sound that echoed throughout when she opened it.

"No. Something else."

@Fraust

Cas could pick up some noises that were seemingly rather far away, shuddering at the groaning noise. He pulled the fallen sheets over his head, feeling lightheaded.

@Bananapudding

Blueprints. Everywhere. All over the walls, the floors, the small sofas and tables were piled with blueprints. "What is this?"

Kyoko sighed heavily and put her hands on her hips. "Look i'm gonna tell you straight up," she bit her lip and began to pace around. "I need you to take care of Asa for me." Sorin cocked his eyebrow and crossed his arms.

@Fraust

Cas's tail fluffed up and he decided to watch the door intently, waiting for Sorin to return. His trembling never stopped and he bit his lip hard enough to make it bleed.

@Bananapudding

"I'm sorry, what? Why?" he pulled off a blueprint that was pinned to the wall. "What's going on?" He watched her struggle to get the words out while she pulled on her hair.

"VeronicaandShenaregoingtoinvadehumanterritory," she said and looked at Sorin as if he understood what she said.

"Okay, say that aga–"

"Your psycho ex and my stupid ex brother-in-law are going to invade human territory," Sorin dropped the blueprint and stood there silently for a moment.

He shrugged. "Well."

" 'Well?' What's that supposed to mean?!"

"It means what am I supposed to do about it? It's not like I can go fight–"

"I am. Sorin, i'm going to. It's why I called you here. Look, I know the Neko is your boyfriend or whatever but I can't trust him to be here to hear this. Their kind are always willing to sell information for gold."

@Fraust

Cas closed his eyes and hid again. How long has he been gone? Is he coming back? Oh god… He bit down on his wrist, whimpering as he huddled beneath the sheets anxiously.

@Bananapudding

"Kyoko."

"What?" she shrugged. "I'm not wrong."

"That's not what I meant. Though, you are wrong about Cas. He's different," he shoved his hands into his pockets and gently kicked the pile of blueprints as one does in the fall with leaves. "I meant about you going to war. I know, it's not your first one but…" he dusted off a sofa and sat down. "and Asa? I don't know how to take care of a child."

"Sorin, please. I asked you because I know I can count on you," she smiled softly. "I trust you." Kyoko grabbed his hand and yanked him off the couch. "Now, go back to bed before that kid wakes up."

"But when will you g–"

"Go."

@Fraust

Well, shit… now that's bleeding too… Cas released his wrist, huffing quietly in distress. He could see a couple drops of his blood on the floor and whimpered, waiting and hoping for Sorin to return soon.

@Bananapudding

Sorin dashed up his second flight of stairs and was out of breath by the time he reached his door. He gulped and put a hand on the door knob, opening the door slowly.

@Fraust

Cas flinched when the door opened, shaking harder. He couldn't see who was coming in from where he was, but the pile of shaking blankets was still on the floor, of course, next to the bare bed.

@Bananapudding

Sorin slid into the room and closed the door with a sigh. He turned around but stopped dead in his tracks at the pile of blankets on the ground, the spots of blood near it. Oh god. "Cas?"

@Fraust

"…S-Sorin?" Cas asked weakly, his trembling growing a bit weaker. He didn't uncover himself from the blankets yet.

@Bananapudding

Sorin scooped him up in his arms along with the blankets and set him on the bed. He spread them out until he saw a trembling Cas with a bleeding wrist. "Oh Cas…" he held his arm and examined the cut.

@Fraust

Cas let Sorin have his arm, drawing his knees up to his chest. "Where… w-where did you go…?" He asked quietly, his tail still fluffed up.
