"Seriously it's fine." he said softly.

Aurelius blinked slowly.
“Okay, I believe you,” he said gently, “Just don’t hesitate to tell me if I do say anything that hurts.”

Silver nodded, "Can do" he said.

“I appreciate the patience,” Aurelius said.
He slowly reached out a hand to touch Silver’s shoulder.

Silver glanced over at him quizzically when he felt the hand on his shoulder.

“I might need you more than I thought,” Aurelius murmured.
He gritted his teeth just slightly.
Way to go. Making yourself sound needy. You’re already quite the load to bear.

Silver hummed curiously, not entirely certain where he was going with this, but not against it if it was where he thought it was going.

Aurelius blushed a little. He couldn’t quite bring himself to continue at first, but he broke through.
“You do make me feel better somewhat, you know,” Aurelius said, “I don’t think I could ask for anyone better to be with.”

Silver smiled brightly at that. "Same goes for you…"

“I have a hard time believing you don’t just see me as a burden,” Aurelius admitted, “but you know, that could easily just be my intense self-doubt talking.”

"Has to be your self doubt, cause I would never think that of you." he said firmly.Heck…. I think I've got a crush on you…

The corners of Aurelius’ mouth went into the smallest smile. His eyes fluttered closed.
“You sound pretty convincing there. It’s always good to hear that kind of affirmation.”
He opened his blue eyes again and focused steadily on Silver.
“I’m glad you like me enough to keep coming back to me, even without any obligation. I enjoy having you at my side.”

Silver smiled happily, "And I like your change in attitude" he said, "Minus the self doubt"

“As much as I’ve tried, I’m not so sure I can help that,” Aurelius sighed. “The most I can do is surround myself with good, kind people.”

"As long as you keep trying you'll be alright.

“I know. If I give in, I’ve lost,” he said, “I don’t want to lose any more. Sucks that I have to work so much harder to feel… well… normal, but if I have to fight for happiness, then so be it.”

Silver nodded, "It'll be worth it" he said.`

“I believe it,” Aurelius replied, “After all, I do get a glimpse of it when I look at you.”

Silver hummed thoughtfully at that.

“I-I…” Aurelius stammered.
He took a deep breath.
“You know how before I thought I was desperate for companionship? I think I was wrong.”

Silver hummed in acknowledgement, watching him curiously, waiting for him to continue.

“You’re awful quiet,” Aurelius said, “I sound like a damned fool, don’t I?”

"No, I'm just not sure I understand what you'r trying to say…" he said softly.

Aurelius rubbed the back of his neck.
“Um… In all truth, I’m having trouble getting to the point here. But I… I may possibly have feelings for you.”
He immediately looked away and kind of tried to cover his face.

Silver's eyes widened and a blush brushed across his cheeks as he quickly tried to process the blow that was the fact that his crush basically just said that they liked him.

Aurelius sighed. Silver was too quiet. He must be uncomfortable.
“Sorry if I bothered you. You can just forget I said anything…”

Silver hummed softly, "Uhm….I… I think I'm in the same boat Aurelius…" he said, feeling like a complete idiot.

“O-oh?” Aurelius’ voice cracked a little. “Really?”
His heart pounded loudly in his chest.

"Y-yeah…." he murmured nervously, something he wasn't used to.

“Uh, that’s cool then,” Aurelius said.
He sounded even more nervous than Silver, but instead of being terse, he was rambling, overly talkative, and probably making a fool of himself.
