Silver smiled softly, happy with life at the moment, looking over at Aurelius his expression turned to concern, "Something wrong?" he asked softly.
Silver smiled softly, happy with life at the moment, looking over at Aurelius his expression turned to concern, "Something wrong?" he asked softly.
“I feel like you should know that my mental health is absolute garbage,” Aurelius murmured, “You’ve seen glimpses of it, but I don’t think I ever stated anything outright. You may be getting yourself tangled in a real mess.”
Silver hummed, "Alright…." he murmured, studying him for a moment.
Aurelius frowned and fell completely silent. He looked at Silver for a moment then looked away.
Silver hummed, not sure how to reverse the more intense awkwardness that had come from his response.
“So…?” Aurelius said, “I guess I should elaborate then, at least a little.”
Silver hummed, "Honestly it's none of my business…." he said, "Your problems are your problems, I'm not gonna judge you for something you can't exactly control…"
Aurelius nodded. "As long as we've got that straight. But I have no problem sharing, since I trust you and know you won't judge."
Silver smiled softly at that, "quite honestly I don't think it's my business to pry."
Aurelius felt his heart sink a bit, but kept up his happy facade as much as he could. He appreciated that Silver respected his privacy, but he had a lot to unload. Then again, it probably wasn't a good idea to overshare like that so early on.
Silver hummed, noting how the other drooped a bit, "I'mean also willing to listen if you need it…." he added softly.
"O-oh…" Aurelius sighed, "I'm actually pretty glad to hear it."
He laughed. "Actually I'm quite conflicted. I have a lot on my mind and sometimes I just need to spill, but I also hate the idea of bothering anyone with it all."
"Well I'm always open" said Silver, "I can't tell you how many times I've literally dragged the twins out in the woods to talk because of that sort of thing."
“Let’s start more simple, I suppose,” Aurelius said softly, “I have depression, and it’s kind of been a problem for a long while, but I highly suspect it runs in my family. In that case, I’m not sure there’s much I can do. There never really has been a true, lasting solution before for me.”
Silver hummed, thinking a little as he listened.
“So yeah… I don’t think I’m ready to share any more right this moment, but I figured you should know that much so you don’t worry as much when I’m all down, which is honestly a lot… Or maybe it’ll make you worry more, but I should hope not,” Aurelius sighed.
Silver hummed thoughtfully, studying the other for a moment, humming softly. "I've heard of what that can do to people, though the only person in that situation I've ever dealt with before, would be Sirus… but that resolved on it's own after he met his mate…. I guess what I'm trying to say is I've got zero experience….. even though I want to help… I probably won't be able to…"
(I will admit, I know zilch about depression issues or anything like that…)
(I do, so it’s all good. Or if you want me to not do that, it’s fine too.)
“I dunno, I think having someone to rely on, even if they don’t know much about the issue, it helps, you know?”
Aurelius paused for a moment.
“I’ve been kind of feeling it again since I remembered what happened back there, in the prison. It’s slowly creeping back up on me, and I’m a little worried. Maybe it’s a good thing I’m telling you though. Keeping it all locked up is no good.”
(It's alright, Character developement, and learning for me, so win-win, just cause I'm unfamilliar doesn't mean I can't, or shouldn't learn. And I do my best learning through stories.)
Silver hummed, nodding, "From all the experience I've had with mental issues in general that's probably true….." he said softly, still a little uncertain.
(Alright, cool. Just making sure it’s not an uncomfortable topic or anything)
“Y-yeah…” Aurelius’ voice grew quieter, “I don’t think I’ve figured everything out myself, so…”
(It isn't, just one I am sorely unfamilliar with.)
Silver gently grasped the other's hand, "I can't say much, but I can say I'malways with you…"
(Okay. I’ve experienced it myself, so I’ll try to portray stuff as accurately as possible. But it really does differ from person to person)
Aurelius clasped his hand back.
“That’s music to my ears, you know,” he said, running his other hand through his hair a little nervously.
(Yeah, I figured that much, I mean, Autism and ADHD/ADD differ from person to person too…. (Both ones I've seen and have a little more experience IRL with…)
Silver gave him a reassuring smile, "Always here…" he said softly.
(Yeah. Makes sense.)
“Always…” Aurelius repeated.
His voice cracked a little. Always really just meant as long as one could. It could be tomorrow that the two were torn apart.
Silver noticed the other's uncertainty, "Aurelius…" he said softly, "When I say Always, I mean it… even if something happens to me there'll always be someone…. that's how it works when you've got a pack.."
