"How long have you been sitting here?" She giggled softly. "I mean, I know Kelsie and Alyssa text a lot but Kelsie didn't know I was getting out today until I told her this morning."
"How long have you been sitting here?" She giggled softly. "I mean, I know Kelsie and Alyssa text a lot but Kelsie didn't know I was getting out today until I told her this morning."
"Just a few minutes." He laughs gently, kissing her gently. "I just needed to make sure that I saw my girlfriend and say hello." He smiles warmly.
Her eyes flicked to the roses next to them. "Then what are those for? Just to sit there and look pretty?"
"Those are for you." He smiled and picked them up and offers them to her. Ace smiles a little, "What do you think?"
"Oh, I love them!" She gently took them from him, sniffing lightly. "Though, personally, I like blue and orange roses. I don't know, I just think they're really pretty."
"Blue and orange. Noted, my lady." He kisses her forehead and smiles a little. "Just figured I'd get them for today." he smiled at the other.
"Aww, well thank you. They're beautiful." She hugged him again. "Well, come on in. I should get these a vase before they wilt."
He nods and lets her go first into the house. Ace looked a lot better then he had when he had left the hospital.
The house was small, to say the least. And it was certainly cleaner than she'd left it. "Guess the police came back and cleaned everything up. This is the cleanest this place has been since Dad remarried." She chuckled, heading to the kitchen and grabbing a vase, filling it with water and placing the roses in.
He smiled a little bit and wrapped a gentle arm around her waist, kissing her temple. "I suppose." Ace mutters as he leans against her shoulder. He seemed extremely relaxed and happy.
She laid her head on his shoulder, smiling up at him. "You seem to be doing better than the last time I saw you."
He nods. "The hospital put me in a bad mindset." He mutters softly, running a hand through his hair and smiling at her.
"You and me both." She giggled. "Come on, my room's upstairs." She tugged him up the narrow staircase and opened a worn baby blue door, revealing a small, somewhat plain room. "Welcome to my cave."
He smiled and followed her upstairs, looking around her room before smiling at her gently. He kissed her forehead happily and wrapped his arms around his beloved Becca.
She gladly hugged him tightly before pulling away and flopping back onto her bed. It was small and definitely not the highest of quality but at least it wasn't a hospital bed. She noticed the carpet near her bed was still slightly tinted pink. "Guess they couldn't get all the blood out of the carpeting."
He looked over at the carpet and shrugs before sighing. "I also placed all your missing work on the table. The teachers were more then happy to let us off on some of them, but the school still requires stuff for us to graduate." He mutters, shaking his head as he turned his gaze back towards her.
She sighed dramatically. "At the end of the day, homework will survive." She giggled before sitting up. "What are you doing all the way over there? You can come sit next to me, I don't bite. Well, not much."
He chuckles gently and sat on her bed, kissing her forehead. Ace was in a much better mood. "It helps having a cousin work as a teacher." He mutters as he ran a hand through her hair. "But anyways. Alyssa is heading back to France in a few weeks, Mom and dad are taking a break from travelling to watch Max so I can focus on my studies… So…"
"So…wanna catch a movie Tuesday?" She smiled shyly. "Kelsie and I were gonna go see Ready Player One a couple of days after the whole incident that put me in the hospital."
"Sounds good." He smiles a little bit as he offers her a kind smile. He kisses her forehead. "Is it okay if Alyssa comes with? Since she's leaving so soon?" He asks curiously as he wraps an arm around her.
"Sure! Sounds like fun!" She was half relieved that he agreed and half disappointed that it couldn't be just the two of them. But she liked Alyssa and wanted to get along with her so she'd deal with it.
He smiled and kissed her forehead. "And I believe I want to treat you on a full date." He laughs gently, his thumb running along her knuckles. Ace glances at her. "What do you think?"
"Ooo, sounds intriguing. What did you have in mind?" Her joy was starting to return. She was usually a fake happy person but with him around, she could really be happy.
He smiled, "Anything really. I could take you shopping, or we could go to a movie, I know I'm taking you out to dinner. It'll be just us." He kisses her forehead.
"Actually, God this is going to sound so boring, there's the park a couple towns over that has this hiking trail around a lake and at night it is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen."
Ace smiled. "That sounds awesome! Let's do it!" He grins up at the other and kisses her forehead, a wide smile on his lips, his eyes bright and excited.
She smiled shyly back at him. "Really? You don't think it sounds boring?" She was a little surprised. No one ever wanted to go walking with her, they thought it was a waste of time.
"No! That sounds fun." He pulls her gently into his lap and kisses her cheek lovingly. Ace smiled at Becca and wrapped his arms loosely around her waist as he rests his head on his shoulder.
She relaxed a little as he said that. "Well that's good to know." She cuddled close to him, not wanting to let him go.
He lets out a soft chortling noise before kissing her cheek and just sitting there with her in his laps. He was more then relieved to have her with him once again.
