"I would have to ask the same question, my love." He whispers as he kisses the top of her head and smiled. He was glad he had fallen in love with Becca. She was everything to him. He held her close and swayed gently.
"I would have to ask the same question, my love." He whispers as he kisses the top of her head and smiled. He was glad he had fallen in love with Becca. She was everything to him. He held her close and swayed gently.
"I love you." She muttered softly, wrapping her arms around him. "Even though you deserve so much more than me."
"I deserve you, my love. And I love you more." He whispers as he kisses her forehead, his hands settling on her waist. He smiled gently at her.
She giggled under her breath. "You're so sappy, what happened to the bad boy I first met? Where'd he go?" She teased lightly.
"Oh, he's still here. Just a softie towards his girlfriend." he whispers as he kisses her forehead. "You're my sunshine. There's no way I'm letting you get hurt anymore." He mutters.
"Well can he come out to play? I kinda miss him. I don't know, maybe I'm just a sucker for the bad guy." She giggled.
"Oh… I see." he says softly. In reality, his act of being a bad boy was shown because he didn't want people messing with him. He acted like an ass so he would be left alone. Normally he was happy and gentle. He withdrew a little, kissing her forehead before clearing his throat. His phone buzzed and he looked down and read it. Ace. You need to come home. Mum is having issues with Max.
"Everything okay?" She glanced over the edge of the screen to read the text. "Oh…I guess you should be getting home then." She pulled herself away from him before wrapping her arms around her stomach, trying to retain some of his warmth. Since she's come here in the police car and she didn't want to ask for a ride home, she'd probably just walk after he left.
He nods and sighs a little. He glanced over at her and pulled off his hoodie, wrapping it around her. "Come on. You're living with us now, remember?" He laughs gently, lacing his hand with hers. "Alyssa will pick us up in a minute." He hums as he guides her to the front of the area.
She smiled faintly, not saying much. She wasn't in the greatest mood after everything that had just happened and mixed with the years of abuse and lessons to just stay quiet and they'd forget you're there, she never said much after a verbal beat down from her stepmother.
(le poke)
Ace gently squeezed her hand in assurance. He would always be here for her, always and forever. He wanted her to be happy, but after seeing her stepmother, she had become secluded again. He sees Alyssa pull up. "We got your room ready and everything." He says gently. Alyssa waves. "Hey you two!"
Her head perked up at Alyssa's voice and she relaxed a little. This was her life now, free of the chains that had brought her down previously. She took a deep breath and a small smile took over her lips as she waved back. "Hey Alyssa!"
Alyssa gets out of the car, a warm smile on her face. "I just got some good news. I can work from America. Isn't that wonderful?" She hugs Becca gently, setting a sisterly kiss to the top of her head. "Your brothers and sister are all waiting at our place." She says kindly. "They're eager to see you."
"I'm sure they are. If Carly, Nikki, and Matt were there, they'd be excited too. Mostly because I haven't seen them in forever." She giggled.
Alyssa nods. "Well. Let's not keep them waiting." She chuckles and helps them both into the car. She gets into the drivers seat and pulls them out of the station and towards Ace's home. Ace hummed softly to himself as Alyssa drove, not once removing his hand from Beccas.
She squeezed his hand lightly. The farther they got from the station, the more easily she could breathe.
Alyssa turned on the radio, humming quietly along with it. Ace kissed her forehead, sighing happily as he does so.
"My God, freedom feels weird." She giggled to herself.
Ace glances at her and smiled a little bit. He kissed her lips gently. "I suppose you're right." He whispers.
"I can't say I expect this to happen when my old school shut down but I don't mind it one bit."
"I can't say that either. But I'm glad you did." He mutters, leaning on her shoulder gently, releasing a soft noise in the back of his throat.
"I'm sure we would've met eventually cause the universe works in strange ways but I don't mind that it's ended up like this."
"Me either…" Ace glances at Becca gently before shutting his eyes. Alyssa pulled into the driveway a short time later, shutting off the car and sighing. "Alright you lovebirds. Inside."
She climbed out, a slight smile staying on her face. She was already feeling so much better.
Ace's mother and step dad were waiting in front of the door, Max waiting for his older brother. "You're back!"
Becca was quite surprised that Kelsie wasn't also standing there waiting but knowing her sister, she was probably passed out somewhere inside from all the stress.
Max giggled and ran right for Becca, hugging her around the legs. "I'm glad you're okay!" He says sweetly, smiling up at her.
Her heart melted. He reminded her so much of her own little brother. "Aww, thanks buddy I appreciate it." She smiled softly down at him.
Max nods and giggles before taking her head. "Come on. I wanna show you your room!" He giggles. Ace huffed. "I get to show Becca her room." He ruffles Max's hair gently before smiling warmly at Becca. "You'll love it." He says quietly.
