Ace looks at the thing and nods before signing before walking out of the room. He walked towards Becca's room. He tilted his head gently. "Becca?" he asks gently.
She glanced down at him from where her eyes had been trained on the ceiling. She smiled tiredly. "Hey Ace. What's going on?"
He sighs. "I've been released." He mutters quietly, sitting beside her, his eyes soft. He smiled weakly. Ace sighed and looked down, he looked tired, defeated and done with everything. His soul had broken into millions pieces, his heart barely beating anymore.
She frowned slightly. "Aw, really? Well, at least you get to go home. Sleep in your own bed." She chuckled weakly. This place was draining her, sucking her personality out with the blood they drew. "I'm stuck in here for another little while. Hopefully, they'll let me out soon. They refuse to tell me when."
He hummed and shrugged. "I'll come and visit everyday until they let you out." He mutters quietly. He sighed softly and fumbled with his fingers.
She glanced at him warily. "That might be a while, are you sure? Constantly caring for a girl in the hospital seems kind of…pathetic…" When Carly had fallen horribly ill, she'd cared for her every single day. Eventually, the sympathetic looks turned to disgusted ones.
"I don't mind. Unless you get sick of seeing me." He mutters softly, still looking at his lap. The hospital, the events had all killed his spirit. He had gotten skinnier as well. He was slowly loosing his physique.
She gently cupped his cheek, pulling his face up to look at her and she smiled tiredly. "I could never get sick of seeing you. I love you."
He smiled faintly. "That's good." He mutters softly, leaning into her hand, his hands resting in his lap. He sighs softly, setting a kiss to her palm.
"Can I at least have a goodbye kiss before you go?" She chuckled weakly.
"Of course, my lady…" He mutters before gently kissing her lips, his hands taking hers. He didn't want to leave.
She hated seeing him so upset, it hurt her heart. "You should get home. Get some sleep, eat a little something. Go take care of yourself, I'll still be here."
He nods before kissing her forehead and standing. "I'll be back soon." He mutters gently, running a thumb over her knuckles.
"Please do, it gets rather boring in here." She worked up a slight happy smile before leaning back onto her pillow.
He smiled weakly before exiting the room, walking out of the hospital and sees Alyssa waiting for him. She waves at him, a little smile on his lips.
As soon as he left, her smile faded and she sighed heavily. She hated this place. It brought back bad memories. Not to mention it was confining her from leaving with Ace where they could continue their relationship without the annoying beep of the heart monitor in the background.
He sighed and entered the car. "Hey sis." He mutters softly. She smiled. "Hey little bro." She mutters gently, starting the car and driving off back towards home.
The silence in the room was almost deafening. She wished the doctors had never discovered her lung. If they hadn't, she would've been able to go home.
He watched the road and smiled when he saw his parents and Max waiting in front of the house. He exits the car and his parents greet him with gentle smiles. "Are you doing okay, Ace?" His mom asks gently. He nods a little before letting himself be guided to his room and flopping onto his bed, falling asleep again.
She picked at her nails, her occasional sighs being the only other sound she had. She wished someone was there, anyone.
Time skip again?//
(To when?)
I'm not sure…//
(To when she gets released from the hospital?)
Sure//
It had been a week since Ace had been released and she'd been bored out of her skull. Luckily, she was finally healed enough for the doctors to let her go home. She signed a few papers and Kelsie drove her home. She couldn't stop smiling, she was finally out!
Ace was waiting at her house, a big bouquet of red and white roses. He waved when he saw the car, a large smile on his lips.
She instantly hopped out, racing up the porch steps and nearly tackling him in a hug. "I missed you." She mumbled, squeezing him tightly.
He gently placed the flowers down and hugged her back, kissing her temple. "I missed you too, baby." He mutters gently, squeezing her lightly. "I'm glad to see you out of that hospital." Ace gazed at her and kissed her forehead.
