Yeah! They find out because Amelie tries to help in the forge and grabs a burning tool without feeling the pain. When the pyro goes to check the wound they see that her 'skin' has become softer. Therefore,,, METAL!

Hey I'm back. So, anything more we'd need to work out?

Probably the gist as to how exactly Amelie dies. She does have to be rebuilt, so how will we go about this?

Well I was thinking that, as an automaton, they would drown her so she rusts and loses all movement. It works as an opposite of being burned at the stake too. And then, to rebuild her, replace some parts and clean and oil her.

Well, does anyone connect Samantha and Amelie together?

I wouldn't think so. Seeing as it was dangerous to have an automaton, the only person to know about Amelie would be the pyro, and even that's an accident.

Especially is Samantha created Amelie, she'd keep the secret

Okay, that took longer than expected, but I'm back!

Samantha sat at her workbench, sweat dripping down her chin. She concentrated, using her metal bending powers to finish her project. She put the finishing touches on, stepping back. Amelie was complete. She quietly reached out, turning it- no, her- on.

With a light creak, Amelie's eyes opened. Slowly, her head turned to face the woman next to her. She blinked.

"Hello, Amelie." The ghost of a smile passed Samantha's lips. Amelie seemed to be working perfectly.

(is all information programmed into her?)
The automaton's head cocked to the side. "Hello," she replied smoothly.

(I'm thinking speech, her name, and what Samantha looks like, perhaps some basic morals so she doesn't kill anyone)

Samantha nodded to herself. Amelie seemed to be running fine.
"Do you know your name?"

"A–" She raised one of her arms, opening and closing her fist. "Amelie." She looked back up at Samantha with wide eyes. "Samantha?" she asked, stretching out her finger to point.

"Yes, I am Samantha." She gently reached out and put her hand on Amelie's hand.
"And we do not point. It's rude." She smiled softly, as one would to a child.

Amelie nodded as a sign of understanding. "Rude," she echoed. A pause. "I'm sorry."

Samantha smiled again.
"I accept your apology." She stood back slightly.
"Can you walk?"

Amelie looked down at her legs and smiled. With a struggle that was slowly diminishing, she set her left foot forward, followed by her right. Looking back up at Samantha, she took another much smoother step.

Samantha smiled and put her hands together in front of her.
"Very good!" She said, praising Amelie.

"Thank you!" There was intonation to her voice now, an innocent brightness. She looked around the workshop with a seemingly curious expression.
