Hey so.
It's essentially a parallel universe. You know the way our world is today with technology? What if, instead of the industrial revolution, there was the magical revolution?
Picture this. A world where there is 0 technology. Every machine, every vehicle, every light switch, its purpose has been filled by a magical invention. This magic was developed via tests rather than experiments: certain conditions ignited certain powers, and these powers were concentrated and industrialized to aid society's development.
Now, just as there were the Salem Witch Trials, in this universe it was the Capek Robot Trials. Our story is based off the life of an automaton born during the 1st Magical Revolution, and this is the tale of its death.
Obviously some details will have to be worked out for this all to run smoothly, but there you go!

So, who do you think we would be playing? Obviously, there's the automaton, but who should the other person be?

Either its creator, or a curious citizen who discovers it

I kinda wanna be the creator. I have a character who builds robots, but I might not use her because I can't think of one of her robots dying- it's too much

Looks: Tall and lithe, she had brown hair and green eyes with olive skin.
Personality: Rather introverted, it is rare to catch her socializing. However, if she does warm up to you enough to socialize, she can be quite nice to talk to and a good person in general.
Power: Ferrokinesis (Ability to manipulate and control metal with the mind)
Background: Coming from a middle-class family, she is content with just enough.
Other: She was very glad with how her automaton turned out, and she enjoys spending time with them. She's a big advocate for automaton rights, but you'll never get her to admit it.

Agreed. So, Capek Robot Trials. That would be late 1600s. First Magical Revolution would be late 1700s to early 1800s. Which time period are we going for?
