The only thing that come to my mind is how Captain Marvel said ‘call me in an emergency’ and yet Age of Ultron happened without Marvel getting called. I haven’t even seen it tbh but as the controversy has swept over the YouTubes I have learned some stuff.
Something i want less in books and also in life is the "nice guy" who isn't nice at all and is just a douchebag
What if he was actually played as a manipulative asshole? Would that be good? I think so.

it's ok you can say ross geller
I love nice guys in books, and by 'nice guys' I mean guys who are sweet and, y'know, nice
Calling out Jon and Iam right there but ya know
Not guys who are all "I'm such a Nice Guy, why am I friendzoned?! I deserve Love Interest's love!!! I'm so Nice!"
ESPECIALLY when the entire reason they're not with the Love Interest is because they never fucking told them about their crush and then whine about it when the Love Interest gets with someone else!
Who knows, the Love Interest might like them back if they stopped whining and started doing!
Also, the annoying/smelly/generally disgusting fat kid trope

Yep, I'm sick of that one too.
Also the lazy fat kid, and the entire "sassy big girl" trope.
When the main character makes a new friend (usually hated by their friend group) to accomplish a task and then slowly loses all of their other friends
When the main character makes a new friend (usually hated by their friend group) to accomplish a task and then slowly loses all of their other friends
This one is just cursed, i hate it
insert the "i was wrong, u guys were right pls take me back" scene
Friendships that focus exclusively on the drama going on in the protagonist's life??? Like I hate how pervasive it is that main characters are trash at actually caring for and investing into their friend's lives
Pro tip: If you want to make your character likeable, for goodness's sake don't make them a terrible friend
In which the murderer confesses everything to the teenage girl trying to solve the mystery because she doesn't believe the police. In which the murderer turns out to be someone that the girl was close to or the murderer was someone nice to her and was never suspected until they confront the girl about a piece of condemning evidence that the girl hadn't even realized yet. In which the police automatically believe the girl even though she has no evidence. In which the girl just has a "feeling" about someone and tries to get them locked up despite no evidence whatsoever. (Just most of the ya murder novel tropes)
I’m not quite sure how to say this but if you are a girl doing a romance from a guy’s POV, do the research on how a dude’s brain works.

i think the sole reason we're all falling for male protags is that they're nicely written because they're from a female POV
almost every time i read a male character from a male author i ended up not liking the guy because i didn't like how he approached the romance so idk what that says abt them
Well Idk but I was reading this one romance (not usual for me but a friend recommended) and halfway through the book this gem was played: “just then I realized she was beautiful” (not a strict quotation). This was the Interesting New Girl with a mysterious past who had just showed up at the dude’s school. Lemme tell you something. Males. Are very visual. If a girl is hot we notice. Instantly. That line makes no sense. He would have noticed before the first five minutes were up.Note: There is one exception where this line would work well. If she was the Childhood Friend.

as a trans dude (ik it might not be the same but i'm here with my two cents) lemme tell you if you're attracted to girls you Will Notice Instantly if they're attractive if they're a stranger. like that's just how it works my dude
Yeah, I’m not a guy, but I’m in a long-term relationship with one and can confirm. I’m pretty sure I’ve even read stuff that says when it comes to attraction, guys are super visual.
Then on the flip side, women are generally more emotional and often feel attraction based on how someone makes them feel.
Of course not everyone is exactly the same, but those are good general rules to go by. Women can see someone and immediately think they’re attractive, but not usually to the degree that most men do.
First off congrats.
Second. Yes it is so true. I realized it even more after my xgf broke up with me. Because I was available and no longer loyal to the girl I noticed all the other girls. And daaang.
As a girl who likes girls, I can also confirm that I notice when a girl is pretty a lot more than when a guy is. Idk if my 'type' for guys is just narrower or what, but yeah. I notice pretty girls faster than good-looking guys.
Yeah, I tend to notice pretty girls a lot more too actually. Can’t explain why though.

yo same
To clarify cuz it was kinda vague, I'm biromantic so it's less of not noticing guys because I'm not into them (because I am, just less frequently) and more of just noticing pretty girls way more.
