Savannah hugged her mother and went up to her designated throne. She really hoped she wouldn’t have to stay there for much of the night. The point of a ball was to dance and have fun, but she was having a difficult time not letting her mood get dampened by the arranged marriage situation. “Who is it? The prince I’m to marry?” She whispered to her mother.

Lillian took her seat, holding onto Savannah's hand she whispered back, "He hasn't arrived yet, but should be here shortly." She thought for a moment, leaned over to whisper a question to Caspian, then leaned back to Savannah. "You need to sit here for a few minutes. It is customary, for the royals to watch over the ball and tend to the people before entertaining themselves."

@Fraust

Savannah nodded and stayed seated where she was, waiting for the mystery prince to arrive. I just hope he’s a decent enough person… he must’ve received training similar to mine, right?

@Simon-Says

Georgiana quickly scanned the ballroom, looking for a job she could pretend to do. She saw several opportunities, but she didn't know any of the other maids, and she obviously couldn't go talk to them. She exhaled a sigh of relief when she saw the guard from the other day across the ballroom. At least she wouldn't have to talk to someone knew. She quickly weaved through the edges of the ballroom, careful not to get in the way, until she reached the guard. She gave him a small smile before turning to one of the guests, asking her, "anything you need, Ma'am?"

@Simon-Says

As she finished her discussion with the woman, (most of which was her agreeing with everything the woman said), she turned back to stand near the guard. "Sorry to be a bother. I had to make it seem like I was doing something… besides wishing I was rich," she joked quietly.

Riverpaw gazed around the large room, a small smile reaching her face. "This is amazing." She said quietly, to one in particular. "It is one of the most important events for the kingdom." Eleena explained to the shorter girl. "The princess and her future king will meet tonight." Beside them, Sky scoffed quietly. "Seems like a good time for someone to attack the place. Y'know, try to kill the royals or kidnap the princess."
"…Right, well, that won't happen."
"You never know. Humans are unpredictable."
Riverpaw shook her head as the trio made their way into the crowd, looking for a more vacant area to settle.

"You aren't nervous, are you, sweetie?" Lillian asked Savannah after a few silent moments. "About meeting the prince? I know that talk a few days ago wasn't…the best, but…"

@Fraust

“Well, I am nervous. I know it must happen, but I can’t help but be a bit anxious.” Savannah looked out over the crowd. “Oh, look! Georgiana and Marcus are dancing together.” She pointed them out to her mother.

Lillian covered Savannah's hand, smiling as she gently lowered it. "It's rude to point, dear." She watched the duo her daughter was talking about. "So…does Georgiana have a…thing…for the knight?" She asked quietly.

"Oh? Hopeless, yes, but not in the way you think." Marcus felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned his head, and saw that it was time for a shift change. He turned back to Georgiana.
"It seems we shall have this dance after all." With this, he bowed, offering Georgiana his hand.
"Shall we?"

@Simon-Says

"I suppose we shall," Georgiana replied. She looked around nervously for a moment; she hated letting her guard down. "But I warn you, I was not lying when I told you I absolutely cannot dance."

@Simon-Says

Georgiana smiled, relaxing a little. "It would be nice to be a noble. Although, they must have to be diplomatic, something I could never be," she said, then stopped abruptly. Why did I say that?

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

Marcus smiled a little.
"I think you would make a great noblewoman." He put his left and around her waist and took her hand in his right. To the tune of the music, he started to dance.

Lillian covered Savannah's hand, smiling as she gently lowered it. "It's rude to point, dear." She watched the duo her daughter was talking about. "So…does Georgiana have a…thing…for the knight?" She asked quietly.

(Yeah I was trying to find a better word since pointing is rude lmao)
“I think so. She’s mentioned him before in passing.” Savannah watched as Marcus led Georgiana to the back of the room to dance. “When did you say the prince would be arriving, mother?”

Lillian sat straight in her seat, looking over to the main doors, then looking through the crowd. "Shouldn't be much longer, I hope. Patience, dear." Maybe he'd somehow sneaked in without being announced? From what she could tell of the prince, when she and Caspian had met him a few weeks ago, he seemed like the kind to not want to make a big deal over himself. Regardless, she hoped people - mostly, her husband and daughter - weren't going to start worrying over him possibly being late.

Riverpaw thanked Eleena, who had brought over drinks. "So, what exactly do we do here?" Sky asked skeptically, watching the people talk and dance. "What do you mean?" Riverpaw replied, and Eleena giggled. "You mean what do you do at a ball?" Sky nodded, leaning against the wall. "Well, firstly, you stop looking so…grumpy. Secondly, you do what you see everyone else doing, basically - talk and dance." Sky rolled her eyes. "I don't dance in public, and I'm not talking to anyone."
Riverpaw sighed, and looked up towards the throne pedestal. She saw the princess, and wondered who the prince was that she was supposed to meet. This event was for them, and it was nice, but it still didn't seem fair that the two had to get married so young and basically against their own wills.

@Fraust

Savannah nodded again, tapping one foot anxiously. She didn’t like being up here, so vulnerable and open. She did sometimes worry about assassins or other people against the king and queen, but right now she was just generally anxious. She was all dressed up and she was just sitting there, doing nothing. At least she could dance and enjoy the party when the mysterious prince arrived.

@Fantasy-Illy!

(Guys, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to miss so much. And honestly I would be lying if I said I was fine, but thanks for worrying.)
Damian straightened his suit out for the hundredth time already. How long have I've been standing out here for? Damian wasn't sure- no he definitely sure he wasn't ready for this but there was nothing else he could do to get out of it. The large doors opened when two guards stood in front of it. "Invitation." Damian handed it over and the guards looked at him as if they offended the most important person in the world. Moving aside, Damian walked through and down a hall. When entering the room he was overwhelmed by how many people were there. Standing to the side he watched as everyone dance, hoping ni one would recognize him.

Savannah spotted a new person enter the room and stood up. That must be him… (I’ll assume he has a a mask) I wonder what he looks like? She hesitated for a moment before approaching the prince, curtsying politely as she greeted him. The photographers took more pictures of her and the prince together.
