"Good to meet you, Damian." The dark-toned one said. "I am William, second-in-command of the High Knights. This is Cress." He put a hand on the short knight's shoulder.
"I am Virdan." The bearded knight said. "And, um, please excuse Cress' silence; he rarely speaks to anyone other than William."
Caspian cleared his throat. "Well then, may we get to it?"

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian just nodded and looked around the room one more time. Was this really about the attack? (Sorry it's so short. I didn't know what else to write.)

@TinyMagicWolf pets

"Listen, gentlemen," He started, "I know we do this every time there is a threat to the throne, but it was my daughter in danger this time. No one has ever tried to off Savannah, except for one time when she was a toddler, and I want to know the man who sent that shooter today." He looked around the table. The High Knights were experts at this, and they were going to help with this manhunt, but then there was Damian, who he had yet to see the true skills of. Yes, he had found the man that shot Savannah, but there were still other people working for whoever sent him. That was who they had to go after. A king shouldn't have to do this, especially when there were people who were basically trained to do it for him, but the new kings of his kingdom always had some sort of trial to go through before being fully accepted. Besides, Caspian wondered what lengths Damian would go to protect his new queen and her family.
"Damian, how did you find that man?"

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Hm," Damian put his hand on his chin. "I'm pretty good at remembering faces. He teeth were yellowed and chipped, so I figured he wasn't getting good enough care. The slums were my best bet. I dressed like them and headed that way. I followed him for a bit and when he wasn't looking, I attacked." Damian had hunting skills and just used that to track him down. You need to know your pry to track and take them down. "It was easy to tell where he was from. His form, and the way he held himself was also a big give away." Damian remember everything. The way he smiled, the look in his eyes. When he went back to the slums he told everyone of his achievements. "His mistake though was not killing her." As soon as the words left his mouth, he thought of something. "Unless it was just a warning shot. It would make sense if he was working for someone. Obviously the person wants people to know he is after you. Most people send assassins to do the job."

The men around the table nodded, and Lillian smiled at Damian. "The boy knows his stuff, that's for sure." Virdan said, nudging William. "But what would be the point of making his intentions public?" William questioned. "Everyone knows that there are people out for the throne. The deal with this person is that they're half-assing the job and sending second-rate hitmen." He looked at the queen. "Pardon my language, your highness."

@Fantasy-Illy!

"There are people out there who like to make people's lives a game. I've heard about people who like to play with people's lives just for games, to show how dangerous and how much better they are than others." Damian leand back in his chair and crossed his arms. "But we won't know for sure until we catch the guy." Damian was really into this now, he loved going out and trying to find bad guys. Especially guys like this.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

"Well, Damian, where do you suggest we start?" Virdan asked, leaning forward on his arms. "We have a man in custody who works for the leader, and according to what you said, there are plenty of people who will know of what he did today, yes?"

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Well, he might not be that close to the leader. You know how a king is top of the pyramid, then it goes down. He could've gotten his orders from higher up, but not the person himself." Think Damian. If we could at least get him to tell us who told him, then we could travel up the line. Damian thought. But that might take to long. "We need someone on the inside. But someone know one really knows about. Someone who blends in well, and is a people person. He could slowly gain trust and report to us. But we need to have a pyramid as well. He can't come straight to the castle because it will be suspicious. Maybe we could get some trustworthy townspeople on our side." It was a gamble, but it might work.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

"A spy…not a bad idea, but trusting the townspeople with such a mission and information…" Virdan stared at the table. "It would have to be a group of well-rounded, close-knit people, who we know could handled themselves and their secrets. We couldn't risk a single word straying from its intended path."
"As for the spy themselves, why not it be you, Damian?" William said.

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Hm, I would say yes, but they now my face to much. As for townspeople, I have just the crew and somebody I trust with my life to go under cover." Damian looked to the king. "Would you like to meet them?" He wasn't sure how Savannah would feel about this since, these were also friends of hers, but Damian trusted them and he knew they could do a good job.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Caspian nodded. "I would. But we need to find someone to be a proper spy, and it can't be any of the knights - everyone knows who they are." Lillian cleared her throat, gaining everyone's attention. "Might I suggest, you-know-who?" She said to Caspian, who sighed and shook his head. "I forgot about him. No, absolutely not."
"But he's good, and no one knows his face."
"Which is a shame, actually. Anyone would love to know this face." A confident voice came from the back of the room, and a hooded man jumped down from a window sill and made his way over. The knights groaned quietly. "Hello, Sir Leonus." Virdan was the only to greet him.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian was confused, but mostly in shock. How come he hadn't seen him? This man must be an excellent spy. And he didn't look very old, maybe about Damian's age, just a little older.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Caspian sighed as the man removed his hood. It could be seen that he looked strikingly like the king, with the same brown eyes and hair, only his was longer and messier. "Damian, this is my younger brother, Leonus. Leonus-"
The man cut him off. "King Damian, of course! Well, 'king' after the proper crowning ceremony." He patted Damian's shoulder, then turned to Caspian. "Anyway! As you can probably guess, I've been here the whole time, and I would like to volunteer as your spy."
"Of course you would."
"Hey now, big brother, I'm usually a pretty busy man, but I haven't had much to do lately. Besides, I wouldn't pass up a chance to hunt down some scumbag that's after my family and harmed my niece."

@Fraust

(looks for a way to jump in again)
There was the sound of smashing glass and Savannah screaming from upstairs, and then rapid footsteps. Savannah ran into the meeting room, wearing just her dressing gown and gasping for breath. "F-Father… I'm sorry to interrupt, b-but some man just broke in through my window!" She held the top of her dressing gown together so she wouldn't be showing her cleavage in front of a room full of men.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

The king a queen jumped up, along with the High Knights. Lillian rushed over to her daughter, checking her over and being careful of her shoulder. "Oh my goodness, are you okay, sweetie?" Caspian had William stay with the two of them while he and the others headed to the Infirmary.

@Fraust

"Yes, I'm fine… I couldn't see who the man was, but I think he found a blind spot in our defenses. H-He must be with the same group as the man who shot me." Savannah still felt nervous to be wearing so little, but all she had to show for it was a lightly blushed face. She knew she couldn't go back to her room until the intruder was taken care of.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian stood, taking off his jacket. He walked over to Savannah and wrapped it around her shoulders. It would help cover things, and he also didn't feel comfortable with people seeing his wife like this. "Savannah would you like me to stay with you?" He knew he had been running off a lot and leaving her alone. I shouldn't have left her up there by herself.

@Fraust

"T-That would be nice…" Savannah pulled the jacket over her shoulders, looking up at Damian. "Although they might need you to take down that man. I don't know what kind of skills he has…"

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Caspian ran through the Medic Wing halls, soon seeing doctors and guards standing outside the Infirmary doors. "King Caspian, is the princess alright?" One doctor asked, and Caspian nodded. "She's fine. Where is the room she was in?" The doctor led him and the knights into Savannah's room, where two guards seemed to be struggling in restraining a man. Virdan immediately had two knights assist the guards, but the man freed himself before they could get too close. He flipped one guard into the other, knocking them away, and pulled a sword on the knights. Everyone stopped and kept their eyes on him as Caspian stood at the front of the ready group.
"Who are you?"

@Fantasy-Illy!

The man spat at the King, with a wicked grin on his face. Like hell her would tell them, he would die before he said anything. "I just came back for what belongs to us." He shrugged. His eyes wandered to the King, most wouldn't dare look him in the eyes. But if there was one thing he learn from his master, it was that if you couldn't take up a challenge, than you are just as weak as them.

Damian
"So, do you want me to stay or go? I'll do whichever you want." He wanted to make sure she was comfortable, this is the second time she has been attacked. And all he wanted was for her to be safe.

Off somewhere else.
Kailey Bite her nails as she sat in her makeshift throne. She had a bad habit of biting her nails when she was frustrated. "Two of my men. Damnit! They are weak." Her foot tapped on the concrete floor, which echoed throughout the room. "I'm going to have to get serious." A playful yet mischievous smile crossed her face, as she planned her next move.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

"What belongs to you?" Virdan echoed, then looked at the king, who only had the smallest hint of confusion on his face. "Nothing here belongs to you." He said, motioning for Virdan to approach. The head knight did so slowly, with the two in front of him following. "Drop your weapon and raise your hands. You are under arrest for the attempted murder of Princess Savannah."

@Fantasy-Illy!

He dropped his weapons and put his hands in the air. Even he knew he was outnumbered. And there was no use in trying to fight. The weird thing was is that he had a smile on his face the whole time.
