"Nope," Seth pulled back fast getting away from the bolts as best he could. The sudden movement unbalanced him and caused him to get light headed, but he stayed on his feet. Tolkalee pulled back as well, getting away from the bolts fast. "I very much dislike blood sucking flowers," Seth bit his lip as he said that, everything had gotten fuzzy.
The vines up the walls around Ares jumped from their places to Seth and Tolkalee, while the flowers bloomed again. Ares stood up as they did that and his left half was covered in vines and flowers.
“I’m sorry…” he seemed to mouth with his still human side. His natured arm raised to order the flowers and vines to water themselves… this time aggressively.
The crow figure finished the soup and served Hinata.
“Here you are, please enjoy” the crow figure stated, setting down the utensils.
Out of the blue, breaking the silence in every room, an announcement was made.
“Greetings people of the Labyrinth. I have good news for all of us, including the alive Knights, Paladins and Viscounts. The Prince has returned from his trip and will be stay here for the remaining of this year and to an extent, until the Graduation Ceremony next week. Yes, the Ceremony was rescheduled and will be hosted next week as I’ve said. This will be the first time in three generations that The Prince will be the one who will preform the Graduation Ceremony for the newest Knights…”
A long pause was made.
“As for the dead but still active Knights, we are trying to revive all of them. So please, wait for a little bit more… as for the fourth to the tenth generation, we managed to get into contact of some of them. So, two of each of the fourth to the tenth generation will attend the Christmas royal party that will be hosted in five days. Some already arrived, some are on their way and some are just heading out. Thank you…”
Seth looked at the flowers as they bloomed again. He then looked at Tolkalee and Aisen, and motioned for them to follow. He moved backwards towards the stairs slowly at first. Then he turned and began sprinting towards the stairs. Everything began spinning in his vision.
Aisen rushed towards Seth and grabbed him by his neck.
“Forgive me for this” he rushed down the stairs with Seth in his hand to dodge the flowers’ line of fire. They were now on Floor Twelve.
Tolkalee watched what Aisen did and began sprinting after them towards the stairs. He was also dizzy, and tired. He stumbled and fell, out of determination though, he pushed himself to his feet, and began running again.
When Tolkalee arrived down on Floor Twelve, Aisen closed the large door that separated the floors. He sighed a little before looking towards the middle of that floor.
“Shit!!” He exclaimed when a knife was thrown and nearly hit his head.
A shadow of a figure was present in the middle of the faint mist in the Arena, their arm showed that they were one who threw the knife.
Seth took Aisen's moment of distraction to twist away from him. "What the hell did you do that for?" Seth snapped coughing. Tolkalee instantly went to stand next to Seth. They looked almost identical, if Tolkalee hadn't lost his left eye they would look the same.
“I don’t you dead on my watch, that’s why. Though… I’ve got to say that I did nearly killed you…” he said with a slight sense of laughter while looking towards the shadow in the middle of the Arena.
“Name and reason of throwing this knife at me” Aisen demanded, throwing the knife beside his head back at the figure.
No real answer came from the figure, rather the shadow knelt down and picked up the knife. He laughed a little while standing and fidgeting with the knife in his hand.
Seth gave Aisen a slight glare, then he looked to the figure in the middle of the arena. "Yep, this definitely reminds me of Kiplton," he sighed.
"It's not as big though," Tolkalee commented keeping his eye fixed on the figure in the middle of the arena.
“I’ll have to ask you two of what you mean by that” Aisen said, looking straight at the shadowy figure.
The shadowy figure in the mist started to move, it would appear that the figure struggled to maneuver around. The temperature in the place decreased shockingly. Aisen started to shake as the temperature dropped below 41 degrees Fahrenheit. (5 degrees Celsius)
"Kiplton, was a tower-" Seth started.
"With one hundred fifty floors," Tolkalee added.
"That was pretty much a fight every floor. It had an arena and some sort of bady in it. We were trying to get to the top because the other thirteen, if you've heard of the fifteen, were stuck fighting for their lives on the top floor," Seth explained. "Why is it so cold?"
Tolkalee looked at the figure in the middle. "He was up on floor fifteen, he didn't attack us then, why is he attacking now?"
After the announcement was made, Hinata turned to Clockwork Crow.
"Thank you." She started to eat.
"Oh, before I forget." Hinata leaned over and whispered something in Tatsuo's ear, pulling something in his hand. He nodded, standing up.
Aisen looked around.
“I don’t think it’s the same pers—“ a crystal barrage was fired at the three men and didn’t stop. Aisen jumped up and positioned himself up on the ceiling, hanging from his sword.
The Clockwork Crow nodded.
“I would ask what it is that you whispered but as it was a whisper, I would say that it you’d keep it a secret… correct?” He brought up, walking to the coffee maker on the counter.
"You'll see what's going on soon enough." Tatsuo walked over to Evan.
"Here, it's from Miss Hinata. Happy birthday, kid." He smiled, handing over a small white orb with a string attached.
"Pull the string when you're ready."
(Sobs a bit You care about the characters ;-;)
Evan was confused but smiled.
“O-Okay…?” He pulled on the string, expecting something to happen soon.
(Also sobbing of course, they're amazing and I love them)
The orb opened, and white energy came out. A single candle popped out.
Make a wish, the energy spelled out above it.
Tolkalee bounced backwards pulling Seth with him. They jumped away from the crystals. "Nope, definitely not the same guy."
Evan nearly jumped but he managed to calm himself down. He closed his eyes and made a wish internally, smiling softly as he did. A small tear can be seen rolling on his face, this was the first time someone else other than his parents and friends celebrated his birthday.
Hinata smiled, knowing the best was to come.
Aisen saw where Tolkalee and Seth went. He jumped down from the ceiling to try and see who the person in mist was. Getting close, he realized something. As he got closer to the center of the Arena where the person was, the temperature dropped to a shocking -22 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 degrees Celsius). He saw who the figure was and quickly jumped out of the center.
“It’s Rainer, the one with Crystal Creation” he confirmed, running away from the crystals coming his way.
Sebastian smiled as well, looking at Evan.
“You know… it’s weird to say that you’re 24 years old…” Sebastian laughed, looking at Evan’s small physical body.
Evan pouted a little.
“Meany…” he giggled and started eating the small cake that the Storm Caller gave him.
While that scene was going on, two figures stepped into the Arena.
“Oh goodie, what do we have here?”
“Be quiet for once, they don’t have to hear every word you say…”
“Why not? It’s fun torturing people and slowly killing them from the inside out”
“That’s… the scariest way to say you like annoying people…”
“Exactly!!”
They didn’t seem like a threat but they weren’t dressed as well as the Knights or Viscounts either.
"And that's a bad thing right?" Seth asked.
"And now I wish Adara were here," Tolkalee grumbled. "She'd heat things up."
“I’d go get her if I knew where she was” Aisen claimed as a crystal nearly hit his head. From the mist, the crystals coming out started to change. They were no longer clear crystals but were rather greenish.
"Do not get cut by those," Seth warned. "Green usually signifies poison."
Aisen dodged the crystals with ease but struggled to find an opening to strike as the crystals keep on coming. As time goes on the temperature dropped even more now and Aisen started having higher degrees of frostbites.
“It’s either we find a way to strike him or we’ll end up frozen here” he stated, running away from the crystals as he did.
"I choose option C," Seth sprinted away, disappearing in the mist.
Within the mist, Rainer can be seen shaking in fear. He was not at ease at all. The crystals that came out from his body were forced to come out.
“Make it stop…make it stop… make it stop…” he cried to himself.
