Cronos looked around the hall as he walked.
“Seriously, I’m worried about everyone else. More than we have to worry about the hunters, the Corrupted Knights are also giving us a hard time. As you saw earlier, Cassius just died and Luna was found dead… meaning their corrupted versions are running around somewhere and their abilities are way too hard to counter” he sighed the last part.
Aisen chuckled a little and got down on one knee, taking Adara’s left hand.
“From now on, allow me to protect you, my princess…” he said, kissing Adara’s hand and looked up to her.
Adara blushed, laughing slightly. "O-okay," she said. "I guess I can, my Knight."
Aisen turned away from her and laughed to himself a little.
“I’ll have to get used to that don’t I?” He claimed, laughing at that thought.
"Used to what?" Adara tilted her head slightly. "How awesome I am?"
Aisen’s body disappeared again, appearing behind Adara while still holding onto her hand.
“If you’re talking awesomely cute, then yes…” he said in a rather calm and low tone.
She jumped, laughing. "You need to stop doing that!" She accused. "You'll give me a heart attack!" She grinned. "And I am not cute, how dare you say that.''
Aisen let go of her hand while laughing.
“Cute face and cute heart are totally different things and I’m aware of that…” he headed for the door. “Such a blessing that found one with both” he said, opening the door.
Adara rolled her eyes. "Charmer," she muttered, a smile on her face. She followed after him, close behind. "I thought I was hot, though."
Aisen stopped and turned back to her.
“Was…was that an intended pun?” He stared at her, blinking.
She flashed him a grin, moving to his side. "Absolutely."
Aisen put his hand on his forehead and just sighed.
“I should’ve seen that one coming…” he smiled and laughed afterwards.
She grinned, leaning into his side. "So… where are we going?"
“I actually have no idea…well, I guess finding Jonathan would be our main priority. He’s still a kid so, you know” he suggested.
"I wonder what he's been doing while we've been gone. Was he sad?" Adara hummed slightly.
“I’m pretty sure he’s sad. We’re the only two he’s comfortable with so far… though I’m pretty sure someone’s looking after him right now. They can’t possibly leave a twelve year old on his own… right?” He thought about for a minute but disagrees with his thoughts.
"Well, he seems like he can handle himself," Adara said. "I'm sure he's fine."
“Yeah… to be honest he’s the strongest of the twelve Knights of the next generation, no bias” he said with a slight laugh at the end.
Tolkalee nodded in agreement to Cronos. "With everyone we can handle them, but if we keep doing this, you're right we won't stand a chance. Splitting up is going to slowly kill all of us. I know, I've seen it before."
“It wasn’t my idea to split… well… I can’t fully say that…” Cronos sighed the last part.
Adara snorted. "For some reason, that seems bias to me, but ya know, whatever."
"I'm not saying it's anyone person's fault. I'm saying we need to stop doing that," Tolkalee kept his eye forward but his other senses wouldn't allow anything to sneak up on them. "Trust me, I've seen this all before."
“Well… I’ve got to say, Carlsen’s apprentice is also pretty str—“ before Aisen can even finish his sentence, an aura train passed in front of them and a figure jumped off, laughing as he did.
“Hi Teacher Aisen!!” The figure smiled and laughed when he saw Aisen.
“You’re gonna be the death of me one day…” Aisen acted as if he just had a heart attack.
The figure was almost as tall as Aisen’s shoulder. They had blonde, messy hair and technician glasses on. Their clothing resembled that of a railroad engineer.
Cronos sighed.
“That’s true…” he opened the exit door for Tolkalee and gestured, offering him to go out first.
Adara smirked at the figure. "Give him a heart attack, please," she said. "He needs it."
The figure took off his technician glasses and smiled cheerfully at Adara.
“And who are you miss?” He asked while Aisen was breathing relatively hard.
She flashed a smile. "Adara."
The small figure jumped at her name.
“THAT’S SUCH A NICE NAME!!” He said loudly.
“Also, Hello! I’m Evan Hydes, next generation’s Knight C after sir Carlsen’s time!! Oh oh, and I’m also the host of Steampunk Railways” the figure excited said.
(This other kid character is literally the human equivalent of an energy drink)
Adara laughed slightly. "Nice to meet you." She stepped away from Aisen.
