Tolkalee smiled as the projectiles reached him. Instead of slowing time he waited until the last second to dodge them and fire an arrow back at the figure. "Geez, rude much, you really should introduce yourself before trying to kill everyone." He was letting lose, he'd figured out by this point that the people here could take as much of a beating as he could dish out.
When the projectiles missed Tolkalee, Aisen held his blades up at the figure as he ran to them activating Duality, his ability. The blades Aisen held turned black and white. Reaching the figure, he sliced on the figure’s torso and blood just splattered across the blades’ end.
(Duality allows Aisen to negate others’ abilities for short periods of time [Black Blade] as well as deal almost thrice the damage he could’ve done with a normal attack [White Blade])
The dagger rammed into the figure and pinned it to the wall. Adara laughed, sounding slightly panicked. "Who knew I could throw so well?"
Without missing a beat Tolkalee threw himself at the figure, attacking with his short sword. At some point he'd switched in the last three seconds.
Aisen noticed the figure being pinned to wall and Tolkalee rushing it, he threw his black colored blade up, creating a Duality Field which deactivates the figure’s ability while allowing others’ to pass through. The figure tried to order the projectiles to attack Aisen, only to be blocked by the field. Aisen then rushed to the figure with his white blade, grinning at Tolkalee as he did.
While the others were fighting, Adara quietly slipped away. She needed to get away from them. She moved down a hall and started off towards the portal that could send her home.
Cassius followed Adara, calling her to stop.
Adara didn't look back. Praying it would work, she turned in a circle and vanished in a burst of flames. "At least that works," she said, landing in the Murder section.
Tolkalee grinned at Aisen as he attacked. He hadn't fought with a partner in this much coordination since Seth had died. He ducked under an attack and slashed upwards at the figure. "You know, you really should keep a smaller center of gravity, you put yourself off balance if you don't."
(Was that…was that a space pun…?)
Cassius turned to Matthew, without saying a word Matthew nodded and his eye turned green, opening a portal for Cassius and himself to go to the portal immediately. They both stepped in.
Aisen grinned at the figure before slashing downwards after Tolkalee sent him upwards. His black blade returned to his hand and to which he used to stab the figure’s heart. After that, the figure disintegrated leaving an artifact saying Dusk and Dawn.
(Tolkalee tends yo get very sarcastic when he's pumped full of adrenaline and fighting. Also when he feels comfortable with who he's with. So yes that was a space pun.)
Tolkalee stood up straight and grinned at Aisen. "That is the most fun I've had in a while," he said.
(Slightly triggered at the pun)
Aisen turned to Tolkalee and giggled slightly, he reminded him of his brother. Aisen knelt down and grabbed the artifact. “Well, this might come in handy later” he said as he kept the artifact in his coat.
"We don't have to worry about two of the long range attackers anymore. But the gunner is still out there somewhere," Tolkalee explained. "I suggest that if we go out to find them we track him down first."
“Yeah about him…” Aisen took a pause “Chris told me he had an ability called Negative Field. My guess would be deactivation like my black blade” he proposed the idea.
(Chris’ Scarecrow ability can scan other people’s abilities, in case you were wondering how he did that)
"Great, so if I get hit by him I won't be able to use my time manipulation, correct?" Tolkalee wanted to make sure.
“More likely, yes” Aisen answered as he shrugged. “Though it would be a different story if we have Moirai’s artifact, Fate Cheater.” He added.
"I can fight, fine without my time manipulation as you just saw there," Tolkalee sighed. "But it's nice to be able to use in tough situations."
“Thing is, he seemed to have collected the Hunter’s Lock artifact so…” he shrugged slightly “…dodging him now might be a little hard”
"Well… How is his close combat?" Tolkalee asked.
“I honestly don’t know, though Chris told me he saw some daggers with the hunter” Aisen told him.
"So long as he knows only a few fighting styles we should be okay, supposing I get close enough," Tolkalee explained. "If we can catch him off guard with a range attack, that might work as well. Otherwise, I've got no ideas."
Another figure walked through the doors of the halls. They were wearing a silver steampunk suit and had clocks and small blades with it. “Well…that’s new” Aisen looked at the figure.
Tolkalee turned to look at the figure as well. "Well hello there, may we help you?" he asked.
The figure “looked” around the hall then turned directly to Aisen. “Where’s Cassius…?” He asked Aisen with a chilly voice. Aisen didn’t know nor recognize who this figure is. “Uh…the portal room?” He answered. The figure sighed. “In that case…I’ll stay here for now…” the figure added with the same chilly and raspy voice of his.
When the figure sat down on the floor, a pair of metallic, silver colored wings appeared behind him. The figure realized this then sighed. When you look closely at the figure’s clothing, it resembled that of a pilot.
"May I ask whom you might be, sir?" Tolkalee asked. He'd put on a whole mew persona. He seemed more open and more relaxed. As if the recent fighting were the cause.
The figure “looked” around, pretending to not see Tolkalee. “Desmond Nickel, host of Metallic Feathers” the figure answered.
(Guess who's back? I came home at, like, 9 at night after not leaving school for fourteen hours due to an acapella show we had with a few other groups around the state, and so I kind of died for a while. Not to worry, though! Now I just need to know whether that Knight accosting my characters is willing to be shot.)
(He has already retreated and he’s not a Knight :D, also welcome back! But fear not, I’ll send someone else to mess up your characters’ lives >:D)
