you haven't reached peak levels of stupidity until you've smacked yourself in the face with your instrument after a stupid idea

I'm halfway tempted to just lay flat on my back and play lmao

@SaltyLasagna

Yeah I just do that with my uke sometimes because I'm super fucking lazy and don't like sitting up
but I could never do that comfortably with my guitar

@_sleeby_rat_

yeah maybe I'm just weird enough to like playing guitar like that lol

on another note save me I've started looking at ukes and my inner gay is screaming at me to buy one

@_sleeby_rat_

it's like the smaller, more condensed gay within me

and it's yelling at me for a uke but I'm broke and I'd never get to take it to sweden

@_sleeby_rat_

I fell asleep for like an hour and my brain factory reset so I totally forgot I even said anything on this chat lmao I don't even know what I was talking about

@TeamMezzo group

okay so bumping this to say that the truth about the moon by jack feldman is a hella fun song to play but i had to hand-write the thing for and it goddamn it was hard so if yall ever wanna try it i can post it here tomorrow maybe since its on my other google account that i can't get in to on this computer so i have to share it with my other google account

@_sleeby_rat_

whoops I accidentally fell in love with the uke and bought a luna one just now

I got one with a wave design and honestly it's so pretty, I can't wait for it to arrive :>

@houdini

so like technically i own and play both, but by "play" i mean very limited to a couple of songs that i've mostly forgotten due to the fact that i haven't practiced them in a while……..but hi

@SaltyLasagna

I'm finally starting to learn the one thing I've been afraid for the past 5 years (or 6? or 4? idk I have no sense of time anymore)
Sheet music
it sucks
and I hate it
but I'm teaching myself how to read it so that's probably good
also the circle of 5ths is very helpful

@Yamatsu

I thought all sheet music was the same? It's just the way it's written that might tell you what instrument it is?

It is, but guitar music is mostly just chords. If you're playing lead guitar, then it's just regular music with a few harmonies here and there depending on what you're playing. It's like piano music, just without the pedal.

Yeah, that's what I meant. You can usually tell by looking at it what instrument it is, but chords can be found in a lot of instruments (even violins… kinda)

I mean, technically there are some pedals for guitar, but those aren't used unless you have an electric or want to do something silly. There is such thing as a Hatsune Miku pedal, it does exactly what you think it does.

…I have no idea what that would do
