Talin huffed, walking out of the palace and making his way into the garden, waving off the guards as he made his way towards the center. His father had just reminded him that the selection was starting today, in only a few hours. Only a few hours of time alone before he'd be surrounded by girls fighting over his hand in marriage to become the next queen. He soon found a quiet corner and sat down right on the well manicured grass, not caring in the least. "It's only a few weeks.." He told himself, "You can handle a few..long..weeks with that many girls..right?" He seemed quite nervous, and it was true. The first few were supposed to arrive in little over an hour and he could already tell that most of them were going to be sent away quite quickly.
((Quick question, what's the like, closest era to this? Y'know, mostly just would it be cars or carriages, that type of thing
(Urm…I'm gonna say closer to cars and that stuff since the real book takes place in the future)
Zaera had gotten into the car to take her to the airport for her plane. Her whole family had insisted she had signed up for the selection, even though she was already plenty well off and fine with not marrying a high class, and their reasoning behind it was they wanted someone from the Pentlo family to compete. Being the youngest of 6 was awful, so many expectations to live up to, and it meant she was the only eligible to compete in the stupid competition. That didn't mean she wasn't going to try, it just meant if she lost she wasn't going to be as hurt over it.
Jasmine was ecstatic that her plane had finally landed, and was one of the first people off, stretching. Plane seats were so cramped, something she had never liked. She hoped her siblings were doing all right, and that the twins hadn't already burned the house down. She supposed she would find out soon enough though. Now to get this whole thing over with, so she could go back to them.
Talin had already made his way back inside, changing into a crisp black suit with a royal blue tie before going to find his parents. The only upside to this whole thing that he had found was he wouldn't have to take as many stupid classes, most of his time would be towards entertaining the new 'guests'.
Calista got off her plane last. She was just mentally and physically delaying the inevitable. She didn't want to be here, her mother forced her to sign up for this whole thing. She never thought she would actually be picked for this stupid lottery speed dating thing. This honestly wasn't her idea of fun. Currently she just wore some jeans a gray t-shirt, some sneakers and her camera around her neck. She made sure one thing she did grab was her camera. While she was held captive here the least she could do was get some good photos of the scenery around the place. She went and grabbed her luggage then went outside and looked for the car that was taking her the rest of the way.

The prince sighed and straightened out his suit, waiting for the chatter or laughter that signified that there were more people in the palace. He knew that he wouldn't meet the ladies for a little while and he shrugged, finding his parents deep in conversation and deciding that heading to his room for a while would be a good idea.
(sorry i'm suuuuuppper late is there still room?)
(Yeah! Definitely!)
