Aiday immediately jumped in it's way. "What do you want?" she asked, breathing heavily.
Aiday immediately jumped in it's way. "What do you want?" she asked, breathing heavily.
The Scorpon (not a typo that’s its species) sighs and spreads out its wings, trying (and succeeding) to look menacing.
“I am Scorpio. I am trying to find my way to the portal and back home. Who and what are you?” He booms.
"Raven, Aiday, and (sorry I'm blanking). Werewolf and humans." Raven didn't feel it was her place to explain their situations.
Though slightly halting at the arrival of someone else, Nevihata continued until he was at the door. Carefully opening the door, he slipped past it, back outside.
Scorpio folds his wings, calming own as he sees the humans aren’t a threat.
"Are you…lost?"
“What do you think, grounder?” Scorpio replies angrily.
"We don't wish for trouble." said Aiday, "Pass through without harm."
Nevihata watches the shadows, his hand moving to his ‘pistol’ he had held and shown to everyone else before.
Stardew cocked her head curiously, watching the Scorpon. "I suppose you can fly?"
Scorpio turned toward Stardew.
“Yes i can fly. What’s the point of getting to cycle 9 if you can’t fly?
Stardew shrugged. "I was just curious why you were conversing with us 'grounders' when you could fly above us and try to find the portal that way. I know that whenever I use my wings, I don't walk."
Scorpio rolled his mismatched eyes.(one is red, the other is neon green)
“The portal is in a cave. I would just fly right over it. Besides, my wings are tired from flying all the way here.”
"Then rest your wings somewhere here before you go on, if I may grant hospitality." She glanced over to Raven and Aiday for confirmation.
"I don't think Guinevere would be pleased," Aiday whispered. She glanced back at the house worriedly.
Stardew shrugged. "He can sleep just outside if he wants. Or he can take our places on the floor. I'll explain it to her if she wakes up and starts asking questions. What do you think, Raven?"
"Well…i don't think she would take too kindly to us letting it roam doing who knows what. But we can find a different spot on the floor. Doesn't have to be yours. It is a big place." She wasn't sure she liked the idea of the Scorpon being inside, but she supposed it was better to be kind to it.
"Well, then," Stardew said to Scorpio, "I guess you can choose a someplace outside or come in to curl up for the night."
"But isn't it Guinevere's house?" protested Aiday. "Maybe you should wake her up and ask first."
"Eh she'll be fine. She can suck it up."
(Guinevere is still sleeping like a rock, but if she were awake she'd say that the house isn't hers. This was a waypoint that was commonly used for Hunter's Guild missions due to its secluded nature. Until, y'know, everyone else found it.)
"I don't know." she said nervously, playing with a metal bracelet on her wrist.
Scorpio watches them discuss, mildly irritated at being referred to as an ‘it’.
“I can just rest on the ground. It’s already more comfortable than sleeping on wet cloud.” He drops onto all ten legs and curls them up onto his chest, his wings folded to form a bit of a shield/blanket to cover him.
Aiday crept up to him. "Thank you," she whispered.
Scorpio just grunted in acknowledgement.
Nevihata was still outside, aiming his gun at the trees. He moved to the side, still focused on a singular point. And then he pulled the trigger. A quick plasma shot exited the gun, hitting going past a few of the trees, and hitting the ground a little bit further behind them. He waited, listening.
Aiday raced up to him. "What are you doing?" she hissed.
Scorpio swiveled his eyes in a somewhat creepy manner to look where the shot had landed.
Nevihata was still staring at the spot, but he put his arm out slightly at Aiday’s approach, as if to halt her. “Shh.” He only said.
"It's okay!" she whispered furiously. "Don't shoot him!"
