He shuffled along, eyes widening at the sight of the large home.

"Welcome to my humble abode." Kai grinned and sneaked in through the back door.

He peered down when his feet came in contact with cold hard floor, visibly fascinated with the newness of it. Taking it all in, his eyes lingered on certain things, most unfamiliar.

"Ok, you can sleep on my bed, I'll take the couch." He whispered and took Sean upstairs.

Sean eyed the stairs with familiarity. All of this was so strange to him, strange and pleasant. He managed up the steps fairly well.

"Ok, here." Kai said, leading him to his bed and handing him an extra blanket

He laid down slowly, a deep, drawn out sigh leaving him as he sank into the mattress.

"Good night." He whispered and made himself comfortable on the sofa. He whistled and X came, laying beside him

Sean stared at the dark ceiling. He'd never felt so comfortable in his life, and.. never more confused.

Soon after, kai had fallen asleep, X laying in top of him

When the morning came, Sean had wandered to the kitchen at some point in the night and took out all the utensils and plates. He left the plates scattered on the counter, but the glittering utensils surrounded him as he sat on the floor, marveling at their polished shine and strange surfaces.

Kai yawned and came downstairs, rubbing his eyes and X started barking. Kai came into the kitchen and froze

He turned the spoon to face the concave side, and blew a foggy breath onto it.

"Sean what are you doing?!" He panicked

The kid almost leapt out of his own body, the spoon flinging out of his hand and hitting the wall.

Kaius heard muffled sounds coming from the next room and sighed, walking around the room to pick up all the spoons. "Have you never seen a spoon in your life?" He exclaimed

Sean shook his head meekly, looking ashamed. Kai could hear his father stirring from all the noise, the floor above them creaked as he rolled out of bed. At the creaking, Sean looked startled and afraid.

"Oh god, just help put these back. Or you know what, go sit on the chair over there. I'll clean it all." He sighed crou hing down to pick up the spoons.

He stood up unsteadily and hurried to the chair with an apologetic manner about him.

Kai looked at the boy again before sighing and picking up spoons. He picked up and put away the last of the spoons just as his dad came downstairs

"Goodmorning," his father croaked, "What're you up to? Making all this noise.."

"Ah, nothing. I found a boy last night. All bloodied and injured. Said his mom did it to him. I brought him here and he decided to play with the spoons." Kai explained, turning to the fridge to take out eggs

His dad blinked. "Oh. Well. Ah.." he glanced over at Sean, who sat frozen and nervous like a frightened cat, "…Does he have a name?"

Also kai's dad is the epitome of not panicking )

"Yeah, calls himself Sean." He mumbled, whipping up some eggs and leaving them to cook. "I'm gonna be workin' out back on my tower. Holler if you need me."

His father blinked again. "Do you.. have a plan for this kid? Where's his dad?"

Sean looked at Kaius.

"I dont know. He doesnt talk, draws pictures. Maybe you can get him to talk?" Kai said. He whistled and X came trotting

His father looked stumped, giving Sean an unsure look. "Hey..?"

"He is very nervous and jittery, I advise you to keep your distance." Kai said and stepped outside

"Okay then." The father half-laughed. Kai had always been a little unpredictable, but this…?

"See ya dad!"
