"I know.." She muttered and continued to stroke the back of his head. "Come on, there's more to it than that."
"I know.." She muttered and continued to stroke the back of his head. "Come on, there's more to it than that."
"I-I never wanted to be amy (the most wonderful woman in the world)…amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) shouldn't have existed…"
"You were never amy (the most wonderful woman in the world), amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) didn't exist. Only you, Alexander. It has been you from day one, you just needed a little help realising it." She hugged him tighter.
"…I-I…" he looked up her and wiped his face. "Thanks…"
"You're welcome, do you feel any better?" she asked, forcing a smile.
He nods. "A-A little…" He looked at her. "Now you're faking it…"
She shook her head, smiling a little more genuinely. "It just hurts to see you upset like that, you should never have to feel that pain."
"..I guess…'
"Never mind 'I guess'." She looked Alex in the eyes firmly. "You do not deserve the pain you feel, and no one has the right to make you hurt that way. Understand?"
He nods slightly. "U-Understood…"
"Good." she sighed, ruffling his hair. "How are you feeling now?"
"B-Better." He smiled softly. "Thanks."
"Hey no worries," She smiled up to her eyes, feeling like she had done a good thing. "You know I'm always here for you."
He nods smiling brighter. "Y-Yeah."
She stood there for a moment, gently smiling, softly running her fingers through his hair, until tilting her head. "Would you like anything to eat or drink?"
"Water is fine." He said quietly,
"You sure? Alright then." She smiled, pulling away from Alex to get a glass of water.
"Is everything okay?" Isaac asked. "You look upset."
"Everything is fine." She lied, waving her hand dismissively. "By the way, would it be possible for Alex to stay the night?"
Both Pippa and Isaac were stunned and started asking a lot of questions. Eventually they agreed, as long as it was okay with Alex's parents.
He's gonna be mad Alex…You know this. He sighed shakily.
Leonie returned to her room with the water, closing the door behind her. She held the glass toward Alex. "You know, you can take him to court." she mumbled, referring to Alex's father.
"…I…know…"
"Have you told your mum about it?"
He shook his head.
She frowned. "If she knew about it, do you think she would do something?"
"N-Not sure…She didn't stand up for me all that well…"
"Perhaps she's scared.." She took a deep breath. "You need to tell the police, sooner rather than later. I know that's hard to do but you have to try if you want this sorting out."
"Not today…It's late."
"Alright." she nodded. They were both in need of rest. "Will you be staying over? Although by this point I don't think it's wise for you to return home right now.."
"I'm staying…I can't go back while he's there."
"I understand." she smiled gently. "I'll go and get the guest room ready. I think I have some of my old sweatpants and oversized jumpers if you want a change of clothes?"
He nods. "Thanks."
