"Y-you wouldn't..?" Her face flushed. "W-well I guess I can then.."

"Y-You don't have to…I won't force you…"

She shook her head and sheepishly smiled. "No it's fine! If you'd feel happier and safer then I'll sleep next to you."

He nods and stands up.

She stood up and slowly closed the door before moving across the room. She sat cross-legged on the bed, shyly smiling, not sure of what to say.

He laid down and sighs. "Thanks…"

"Hey it's alright, this way neither of us will be alone!" She smiled brighter, curling up on her side, facing Alex.

"True." He smiles back.

She reached up, gently ruffling Alex's hair.
What am I supposed to be doing???

He blushes. You like her…Don't you?

She hesitantly took Alex's hand in her own, rubbing her thumb over his knuckles. "Nothing will hurt you when you're asleep. I've got you, and no way is anything gonna get past me!"

Alex was hesitant but nods.

"Would it help if I turned away? That way you might be able to relax better." Leonie smiled lopsidedly. She didn't want Alex to feel uncomfortable, though with the current situation perhaps being uncomfortable had already been and gone out of the window.

"No…It's fine…" He said sleepily.

"If you say so." she gently rubbed her thumb over his knuckles. "I'll be right beside you if you wake up, you're safe."

He nods slightly. "Thanks."

Alexander started moving in his sleep mumbling something inaudible.

Leonie had fallen asleep, still facing Alex, and didn't notice the boy moving.

He curled up in on himself.

Leonie's eyes fluttered open, and through the bleariness she could see Alex moving. "A..Alex?" She whispered.

He doesn't Answer. He just stayed curled up.

"Alex are you okay?" She asked as she sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Did you have a bad dream?"

He was shaking. "…"

"Alex??" She gently placed her hand on his shoulder. "Alex you're shaking…"

"…I-I…" He choked on his words.
