"nope I'm good." He said then let go of Kale's hand and ran faster.
"nope I'm good." He said then let go of Kale's hand and ran faster.
Jordan was kicking out at the grabbing hands through the window. He crab walked backward as fast as he could before getting up again and running on the opposite direction of the others. A few shots rang out
Kale started to panic, thinking that Jay was going to get himself hurt, but they shook it off. When they heard shots ring out, they froze in their place and looked back in the direction of the orphanage. "Jordan."
Jay just kept running.
Jordan made it to the tree line. He stumbles once there and falls. He hisses in pain as he looks down. His shin was bleeding heavily
Kale bit their lip anxiously. They clamped their eyes shut before slowly forcing their body to run after Jay. "Forgive me…"
"for?" Jay asked as he yelled.
"Woo~!!!! I lived!!! Ow ow ow." Jordan hisses, throwing his hands up in the air
"I want to go back for Jordan, but I can't leave you. I hope he forgives me."
"I think he will understand we are running."
"Yeah… There should be a road somewhere up ahead.." Kale could still hear shouting from behind them. "Tell me you hear things too or tell me I'm paranoid."
Jordan tries to stand again, leaning against a tree. He smiles to himself as he looks around
"Jay? Do you think we will ever meet him again?"
"yeah. It's not like he will be killed. And you could find the police when we get out of here." Jay said and kept running. "I hear cars."
"That means we're near the road, hopefully someone will stop if we flag them down." Kale started to slow down. "I'll catch up, my stomach isn't doing that great."
Jordan forges deeper into the forest, limping and hissing but free
Jay stopped for a moment and turned around.
Kale propped themselves against a tree, covering their mouth. "Ha.. I can keep it down.." They stumbled into a slower run than before, catching up to Jay. "Come on."
Jay nodded and ran.
Jordan knew he was probably going the rmwrong way but didnt care. His leg was throbbing painfully but he didnt stop wobbling from tree to tree
Kale started to see light in front of them and the sound of cars grew louder. They stopped to lean on a tree, seeing the road less than a ten meters away. "A road… it's been so long.."
Jay stopped and reached for something to grab.
Jordan stops, sinking down against a tree. He hisses, holding his shin
"This is going to be interesting.. Society is bound to have changed since I was last part of it.. Lets do this." Kale gently touched Jay's shoulder before edging towards the road.
"yeah. Well can you flag someone down?" Jay asked as he put a arm around Kale's shoulder.
Jordan leans his head back against the trunk of the tree
"I'll try." They chuckled softly, holding onto Jay tightly. When they reached the side of the road, Kale waved out an arm and soon a car pulled over. The driver's window rolled down to reveal a concerned woman and Kale explained the situation as best as they could. The woman didn't seem convinced yet took a moment to call the police, repeating what Kale had said. Kale rested their head on Jay, whispering while the woman was on the phone. "I hope this works…"
"yeah. Hopefully." Jay replied.
The woman turned to the two of them, holding the phone towards Kale. "They want to know how to get to this…orphanage."
Kale gave rough directions to the police and they informed them that help was on the way. The police told Kale and Jay to wait at any entrance road that led to the orphanage before the call ended. Kale passed the phone back to the woman and thanked her for her help. She pulled away and drove down the road. Once out of sight, Kale ruffled Jay's hair gently. "It won't be long now i should think, i just hope that nothing goes wrong in the meantime."
Jay nodded. "Do you know where the road would be?"
