"They're likely to be distracted for a good twenty minutes now, since everyone is supposed to be going to their rooms and to sleep now, so why don't we take that opportunity to make some last minute preparations for our little escapade?"
"why don't we walk out the front door?"
Kale frowned, their smile fading. "You realise they are going to be on guard, more so in that area, and even outside. You think they're just gonna let the kid go? And you think that they're going to allow there to be a chance of three others leaving through that door?
"how about I use the ignorence of people against people and distract."
"Jay. Don't tell me you want to be the one who stays behind because I am NOT having that argument again."
"they all act like I am dumb. So how about I walk near the door of this place and distract."
Kale stayed silent and watched the other two talk.
"there are 4 maybe 5 possible ways out 2 of them are guarded."
Jordan glares at them both, challenging them
Kale shrugged, sighing softly.
Kale mumbled under their breath, filling a cup with water, taking little sips of it at a time. "Right well while you two decide who wants to stay behind, I'm going to have some more water. That way, if we end up getting caught, I won't be back for long."
"alright. Just don't die."
"I'm not making any more promises until you two are on the outside." They down the rest of the cup and fill it again. "What do you have to lose by staying behind, Jay?"
"I already have nothing. So I can't really loose anything." Jay replied.
"I see." They knocked the water back and filled it again, repeating the same action. "Why do you think you have nothing?"
"because I never had anything…..Anyone." Jay said quietly.
Kale stared down into the cup, their heart pounding in their head. "You never had anyone huh?"
Jordan nods, "not guaranteeing anything "
"Jordan, what do you have to lose by staying behind?"
"So neither of you have dreams, no one you want to be, no friends, nothing and no one you want to live for." They leaned against the counter, a grim smile plastered on their lips. "Shit, and here I was foolishly thinking I meant something to at least one of you. Ah, what an idiot I am, right? If you want, you can both stay, if life really means nothing to you, that would be only one more person for them to worry about and you two can carry on with your existence as before." Kale chuckled, running a hand through their hair, their voice hitching as a lump formed in their throat. "And to think I actually cared about the two of you.
"shut the hell up. You were always my friend other than you and that idiot I have no one."
Kale moved towards Jay, resting their hands on his shoulders. "You don't have no one, none of us have no one. We have each other, isn't that enough to start with?"
"yeah it is. Now can we attempt to get out?"
"Fine with me, I've had enough water anyways." They grinned despite their stomach being in agony. "Lets go!"
"can you expel you stomach's contents on someone as a distraction?"
"If I must. You and Jordan get the hell out as soon as they turn their backs okay?"
