Ace glances at Kelsie. "We should probably get her to the medics." He chuckled softly, kissing Becca's forehead. He calls one of the medics over, gently handing Becca to them.
Ace glances at Kelsie. "We should probably get her to the medics." He chuckled softly, kissing Becca's forehead. He calls one of the medics over, gently handing Becca to them.
"Right, who are you? And why do you seem so close to my sister?" Kelsie frowned and crossed her arms.
"My name is Ace." He glanced at Kelsie. "I'm her boyfriend." He says gently. "We started dating yesterday." He glanced at the other, smiling softly. "I'm surprised she even let me be her boyfriend… She deserves more then what I can offer." He mutters softly, looking down.
She relaxed a little. "Becca is very picky about who she trusts and who she doesn't. So the fact that you have the title of her boyfriend, that is a high honor."
He smiled a bit. "I feel like the luckiest man in Earth… But I feel like she deserves better…" He mutters softly.
"You care about her. You don't want to see her hurt. You love her. You're already doing a lot better than our own parents are."
He glances at her. "Thanks. I guess." He says softly, smiling at her.
"Just don't break her heart, okay? The last time someone did that, I found her nearly dead hanging from a rope in her closet." Kelsie shuddered at the thought.
Ace's eyes widen. "I would never do that." He says quietly. "I love her to much to do that." He glances at the ambulance where she was being taken care of.
"Kids can be so cruel." Kelsie mumbled. Her sister's pale skin was stained bright red with her own blood, her body fading in and out of consciousness.
He watched as the medics take care of her, sighing softly. "They sure can be." He winces. He was pretty sure he had torn his stitches open when he ran here.
The medics looked really worried, their nervous movements only worrying Kelsie more. "What's wrong with her?" One of the doctors walked up to her. "Well, um, long story short, with all the physical abuse your sister has gone through, she needs immediate surgery."
Ace nods. "May I come with her…?" He asks softly. "She means an awful lot to both me and Kelsie. I can pay for it." He says softly.
The doctor shook his head. "I'm sorry, there just isn't enough time. Trust us though, your sister is going to be fine." He smiled at the both of them.
Ace nods. "Okay…" He whispers. He gulps and looks down at his phone, dialing his sister. "Hey. I need your help." He says softly. He could feel her smile. "Money, I'm guessing?"
"But you should probably know…this is a very complicated procedure and for someone so young…there's only a 35% chance of her surviving."
Ace glances at them. "Then please… Take care of her." He whispers, putting the phone down. "I can't live without her. Please." He asks softly.
"We'll take good care of her. Don't worry." He smiled before rushing back to the ambulance where she had passed out again, connected to all kinds of machines with tubes and wires everywhere. They slammed the doors shut and sped off.
Ace looks down and sighs. "Alright. Breathe." He mutters softly, before wincing. His side ached.
"Wow, that's…that's a lot of blood. What did you do?" She glanced at the slowly growing red stain on his sweatshirt.
He glanced down. "Got shot. I'm fine." He shrugged and sighed softly.
"I'd ask but I don't wanna know." Kelsie shrugged and bit her thumbnail. She was beyond worried about her sister.
Ace looks at her. "Why don't you get your stuff and then I can take you to my house. It's walking distance from here." He says softly.
She shook her head. "Don't want any of it. I just want to see my sister again or at least be in the hospital with her."
Ace nods. "Alright. Do you mind if I come with you?" He asks quietly.
"Not at all. I need to call Carly, she'll freak if I don't." She pulled out her phone to call her younger sister in a slight panic.
Ace nods and sighs softly, wincing again at the pain in his side. He was fine. He needed to focus on Becca.
After a 10 minute conversation where Carly was freaking out, she managed to hang up. "Come on, I need to see if she's okay." She started for the hospital
He nods and follows after her, taking a deep breath. A horn honks behind them. "Need a lift?" Alyssa calls.
"Please? I need to get to Becca, who knows if she's even still alive?" Kelsie was panicking.
