M curled his legs up so he was sitting criss-cross and took the bag gently. βThank you.β He grinned slightly at her remark, glancing up at her. His grin faultered when she asked him how he was doing.
βAlright. Forgetting things again.β He gave a sheepish shrug before opening the bag. βHow are you doing, dear?β
βIβm goodβ¦ Worried about you, but what else is new?β Alison said with a light chuckle, though she really was quite worried about him. She bent down to press a quick kiss to his cheek before leaning against his desk.
(I just remembered the two-posts between replies ruleβ¦ Oopsβ¦ Sorry, Emiβ¦)
(Unless itβs a private conversation. I donβt mind if you break that rule cus Iβll be doing plenty of it.)
M hummed softly in response and took out a muffin. He loved muffins. He set the little delight on the bag and took off the cup, then lifted it up to take a bite. He leaned back in his chair with a sigh. Within moments, he found the muffin gone. He looked baffled but that was only a momentβs worth of baffledness.
βHow long are you going to be staying?β He crossed his fingers. βI donβt want to interfere in your schedule.β
(Oh, goodβ¦)
Alison shrugged. βI donβt have much going on today, actually, so I can stay until you kick me out,β she teased, smiling down at him. βWhat about you? What do you have planned for today?β
M smiled a bit. Her good antics and teasing always gave him a small light to focus on in his day.
βIβll probably hunt down a fountain pen then do nothing all day. I am quite busy.β He laughed softly.
(I dunno what to do till Moxie comes onβ¦)
"Oh, yes, I see," Alison said in mock seriousness. She blinked and suddenly started digging around in the bag she carried everywhere. "I'm sure I have a pen somewhere in here⦠You can have it if I find it."
"Oh, yes, I see," Alison said in mock seriousness. She blinked and suddenly started digging around in the bag she carried everywhere. "I'm sure I have a pen somewhere in here⦠You can have it if I find it."
M puckered his lips a little. βIβll just buy one, dear, thank you. I like the old school fountain pens. Unless youβre somehow carrying one around?β He asked, chuckling softly.
"I know which ones you like, dear husband," Alison chuckled teasingly, finally pulling out a pen and handing it to him. "I knew I had one in here."
M took it and studied it. βWhy in the world are you carrying these things around?β He glanced up at her, smiling. βNow Iβm expecting you to pull out a jar of ink.β
(Hm, should she)
Alison grinned and shrugged a bit. "You seem to lose your pens often," she said as she started looking for a pot of ink. "So I just started carrying one."
(Lmao just a pot of ink in her purse)
M chuckled and set the pen down next to the empty pot of ink. βI will have to go out and get more ink. And more shirts.β He looked down at his now messy, inky shirt.
(To heck with logic.)
"Just shirts. Those won't fit in here," Alison giggled as she set a lot of ink beside the pen and empty pot. "Because I have ink for you."
((Sorry I went M.I.A, I went out with my mom. Forgive me, love))
Evelyn was out and about the town, up to her neck in errands to run. She had a tight schedule to keep today, but that didn't matter much when it came to this. She nodded and spoke her good mornings to the guards on duty as she climbed the steps of the palace. Within the walls of the palace waited the love of her life. The only being who could make her smile as bright as the sun. Neo.
She ascended the steps to his room as was there custom. If she was quick enough, she could catch him before the day ahead whisked him away with Kingly duties. She knocked on his door with a smile graving her lips. "Neo? Beloved?" She knocked again.
M laughed softly and grabbed the pot of ink. βYou really are a Goddess, arenβt you?β He set the pot back down and looked up at her, shaking his head.
~
(Thatβs okay, bb)
Neo had drifted back to slumber. His alarm blared annoyingly, somehow louder than what it was when it first went off. He heard a knock over the noise and looked up over the back of the couch to his doors.
βYes? Iβm in here, dearest.β
Eve stepped inside and shut the door behind her. She smiled shaking her head as she spied Neo on the couch. "I have a question, my King," she crossed the room and shut the alarm off. "If you have such a glorious master piece of a bed, why do you insist on sleeping on the couch?" She pressed a kiss to his forehead.
Neo set his head down on the foot of the couch when she approached him, smiling dreamily.
βThere is no reason. I just enjoy the firmness of my couch so much I doze off on it. How are you doing, my love?β

Jericho returned to his desk after getting firmly dismissed. He didn't mind though. He was just happy someone remembered to bring breakfast for M. He shook his head, chuckling quietly to himself. He wondered how Alison did it. M certainly wasn't an easy guy to be around. Honorable and Jericho admired him dearly, but a pain the ass. She certainly was a goddess.
Jericho's smile faltered as he wondered if he'd ever find someone like how Alison was to M. Gods knew he was looking, but no luck. He sighed, dismissing the oppressive thoughts and got to work. It was going to be a wild day. He just knew it.
"Demi-goddess," Alison corrected him with a wink. "So anyway, do you want me to bring some lunch by later? Or will you actually manage to find time to spare if I don't make you?"
M uncurled himself from his chair and stood up, arching his back downward in a stretch.
βI have free time right now, I suppose.β He smiled a bit.
βWell, having spare time now doesnβt exactly help with lunch time, hun,β Alison chuckled. βBut do you want to go for a walk with me, then?β
M looked down at his desk. He was feeling particularly lost and dull today.
βRight. Walks.β He blinked a couple times, then shook himself, nearly dropping off into himself again.
Alison frowned slightly as she watched him. βMaybe a walk will help clear your head, hm?β
M chewed on his lip and looked at her. His eyes were clouded and tired.
βThat sounds good,β He said in response, forgetting what she had said previously.
Alison took a step closer and lifted a hand to his cheek, cupping it gently as she looked at him with worry in her eyes. βOr maybe you should come home. You look like you need to sleep, M.β
M leaned into her hand and lifted one of his to hold hers. βMaybe I should go home. I donβt remember the last time Iβve been.β He shut his eyes.
