Zol bowed to Citra. “I am pleased to find a friend.”
Zol bowed to Citra. “I am pleased to find a friend.”
To Mariana “Greetings Skychild. May I ask whom you serve?”
Artemis sighed and walked over "I am Artemis. Child of darkness and water." She said. Artemis gave a half smiled and then bowed her head while resting her left hand on the right side of her neck in greeting.
Jemi looked around nervously. Gods? But- they're just tales… She wasn't sure whether or not she could trust people who believed in tales. "Well, what are your names, then? And elements?"
To Artemis “A worker of Darkness.” Zol mused, “yet I perceive you are a friend.”
“hey, Artemis. Pleased to meet you!” She grins. And to Zol she said “We pray to the All Mother, if that’s what you mean.”
Zol inclined his head to Jemi. “I am Zol. A worker of the Light.”
“hey, Artemis. Pleased to meet you!” She grins. And to Zol she said “We pray to the All Mother, if that’s what you mean.”
“I know not a Mother. I was raised by the Brothers of my home. They taught me of a Father who watches over us, and sends aid in the darkness.”
Citra stared at them all. Most were hybrids, like her. Did they get removed from their homes as well? She shifted from one foot to the other, a wave of sympathy went through her. She hadn't thought it was that common. Do all societies reject their hybrids? Where do we all go? She stared off into the distance, unable to look at anyone around her.
"Citra. Flame and Darkness." She whispered to the sky.
"Nice to meet you guys. I'm Jemi." she said in the midst of it all. She wondered whether or not it was normal to have more than one power. It certainly wasn't normal in her village, but if these people are that different, then perhaps it's not unnatural. "I have water and fire."
Mari’s eyes widen. “woah, opposite abilities? Thats’s amazing!”
To Citra “Darkness without evil. The world is strange.”
To himself “Opposing Power. A great gift, or a self fighting soul?”
I look to the other girl. "Yeah, it's rare to even be a hybrid in my village but it seems you are all hybrids, apparently?
“IN my tribe, most children are hybrids. Pure souls are more rare, and much more powerful. They get their gifts from the all mother for good actions in a past life.” She thinks for a second and then adds, “this is so exciting! I’m already experiencing so much!”
“Where I come from the Powers really just beginning to emerge. I know not if there will ever be multiple Powers.”
"Where I came from, you were born with powers however it is uncommon in my old village for parent of different elements to have hybrid children. Only hybrid pare ts had hybrid children ." She explained
Zol looks confused but says nothing.
To Citra “Darkness without evil. The world is strange.”
"Darkness does not equate to evil. Just as light does not always bring good." She met his eyes with a look that bordered on anger but it was quickly wiped away. "In my city hybrids are much stronger than single elementals. They– We are usually killed for being a disgrace to the gods…." Citra looked at the ground as she spoke.
"Piper; daughter of the darkest waters of the sea," she said, glancing at the others. She snapped her fingers, making the water considerably smaller. Now that they were introduced, they weren't as much of as a threat. At least she knew their names and elements.

“I apologize for my unfounded speech. I shall try to remember that I am indeed but a youth. As the wise men say, The fool thinks himself a wise man, and the wise man knows himself to be but a fool.”
Citra met the gaze of Zol with an unreadable one of her own. A tiny smile lifted the corner of her mouth as she said, "Apology accepted." What an interesting boy…
Mari watched the whole thing with interest. “SO! Does anyone know where we’re supposed to go? And when we get our spirit guides?” She was elated.
“Spirit guides? I was sent to master my Power. I was told nothing of such things.”
Mari’s eyes widen. “woah, opposite abilities? Thats’s amazing!”
(Sorry guys I had to go shopping)
"Shes not the only one with opposite powers.." said frost stepping forward.
“Greetings. Are you a human?”
“Oh. My villiage talks of spirit guides, you gain then on your journey and they never leave your side until the day the great mother reclaims your soul….they are your greatest friend! Tell me you know of them?”
"Half human…" she said a little surprised "how did you know?"
Zol shuffled uncomfortably. “Pardon me for saying, but you look so, strange.”
Piper had stayed silent, but now decided to speak up. "In my cove, we call them Nereids. Nymphs of the sea," she said, picking at her fingernails. "They help any sailor through a tough patch of storm. One of the friendliest folk in the sea." With her blob of water, she formed a miniature version of them, and made it run throughout the group.
