"I didn't bring one," Rowan signed over him and smiled as she saw the sweatshirt. Even though she hadn't answered yet he had grabbed one already for her to use. She paused for a moment before she signed to him, "If you would lend me one that would be nice. If that's what you want to do then." Rowan was blushing a little after she finished signing. She bit her lip and kind of held out her hands since her bag was already around her body.
"Yeah you can borrow it," He replied, nodding and smiling happily, "I don't want you to freeze on the walk to the car." Soren walked over to her and held out the sweatshirt, a faint blush clear on his face as he did so. It felt nice to do something as simple as lending her a sweatshirt, plus her accepting his help felt even better.
"Thank you!" Rowan signed as she slipped the sweatshirt over her dress and the strap of her bag. It was still big on her, but she looked happy. She smiled up happily at him before starting to make her way to do the door, "Ready to go Magic boy?"
Soren smiled in response and scooped up his keys from the counter before walking over to the door as well, "Yes I am, are you ready magic girl?" He opened the door for her, still smiling happily as he grabbed his own jacket and held it over his shoulder while he held the door open.
Rowan nodded a little as she made her way through the door and waited on the other side for Soren. She rolled on her feet waiting for him though it was more an act of habit than of excitement, "You remember my address right?"
"I think I remember it, if I get it wrong though you'll just have to direct me on where to go," He replied, closing the door behind them and smiling at her. Soren took a moment to shrug on his own jacket before starting down the hallway, making sure she was walking with him towards the elevator.
Rowan nodded as she walked with him. She managed to keep in step with him a light smile on her face. She pushed the elevator button when they got there looking up at Soren, "I had a fun time hanging out with you. On a date with you? Whatever this was it was fun!"
He nodded, smile growing even more, "I had an amazing time with you to, it was really fun." Soren waited patiently as the elevator did it's job and they arrived on the ground floor, walking through the entryway step in step with Rowan. Like most other times, he opened the door for her, holding it open politely and motioning to his car with a grin, "Your chariot awaits m'lady."
Rowan smiled back at him as she curtsied slightly before leaving the building. She shivered a little at the cold that rushed over her once out of the building, but it didn't last long as she made her way to the car. As she walked she gave Soren a little wave to come with as she continued to smile, "Why thank you kind sir."
Soren followed after her happily, unlocking the car before she got there so she didn't have to stand in the cold for long. He stepped around to the driver's side, slipping in and starting the car as quick as he could. The heat came on a second later as the car rumbled to life and he waited patiently for her to be ready.
Rowan opened up the door and hopped in warming her hands by rubbing them together. She closed the door behind her and glanced over at Soren. After a moment she finally signed to him, "I'm ready to go!"
He nodded, smiling before pulling out of the parking lot and heading out onto the road. Soren remembered the general direction back to her home, but he knew that he would most likely need more direction when they got closer. “Did you have fun?”
Rowan nodded with a big grin. She would sign to him but figured he should keep his eyes on the road than eyes on her if she could help it at all. Her hands idled as she tapped on her legs. She was relaxed at the moment.
(Sorry for disappearing! I was gone for the Fourth with friends but I'm here now!)
Before long, and without many wrong turns, Soren pulled up to the same place he had picked her up from. He shut off the car and smiled at her gently before getting out and walking to her side of the vehicle. In one smooth motion he opened the door for her and smiled again, adding, "Your carriage has arrived at it's destination."
(It's fine!)
Rowan had to help him a few times with little taps and points, but overall he got her home safely. She gave him a bright smile as she went to leave the vehicle and made the motions to take off her sweatshirt to give it back to him. It was only a few steps and as long as the door wasn't locked she could get inside quickly, "Thank you kind sir."
"Keep it," He said once he noticed her taking off the sweatshirt, a gentle smile on his face, "It looks better on you anyway." Soren closed the door once she had gotten out of the car and stuffed his hands into his own sweatshirt pockets, blushing slightly either from the cold or from being nervous, "I had a fun time with you…If you're up for it I would love to meet up again."
Rowan blushed and stopped taking off the sweatshirt. She knew her blush came from his comment and now that she had his sweatshirt, she didn't think she would ever take it off. her hands were cold but her face broke out into a huge grin at his question. She nodded happily before signing to him, "I would love to meet up again too! This whole thing was a lot of fun."
His smile broke into a happy grin as she replied and he quickly nodded, "Great! We could do lunch or dinner later this week if you wanted, or I could plan something else if you want." The thought of actually being able to see her again sounded amazing, and he hoped with a week of being gentle on her magic, she would be ready to practice more when they had the chance.
Rowan nodded quickly in reply as her smile only continued to grow. She would love to meet up with him again and hopefully, she could learn more if she was able to practice her magic. Reasonably practice, no pushing herself too far. She signed over to him, "Lunch or dinner sounds great! But if you're willing to plan something then I would love to see what you can put together!"
"I'll get some ideas together and I'll text you later with them so you can choose your favorite," He replied, straightening out the edge of his sweatshirt and smiling gently at her, continuing much slower and saying, "I should probably get going..don't want you to stand out here too much longer." Soren rocked on his heels, his smile still gentle.
Rowan smiled over at him and gave him a happy nod before a sadder nod. He probably should go so she could get inside and get warm. She smiled and signed to him, "I would love that. I guess I'll text you later them," her hands stalled for a moment before she gave a little wave and smiled once more, "Bye."
Soren matched her little wave, stepping back and giving her a soft smile, "Bye, Rowan, see you later." He waited until she had gotten to the door before getting back into his car and driving away. His smile didn't disappear though, as his mind got straight to work trying to plan when they could see each other next. He wanted to make sure it was perfect.
Rowan waved at him again before entering the home. She let out a long sigh as she shut the door behind him before heading up to her room to get a change of clothes. The sweatshirt was definitely going back on, and Rowan had no plans to wash it anytime soon.
(Sorry it's short)
The entire way back to his apartment, Soren's mind was filled with possible ideas for the next date with Rowan. He couldn't decide which was best though. After all, there were so many good ideas, and he couldn't take her too all of them at once, especially with it being winter.
(Ummmm, maybe when he texts her a date idea?)
(Sure, you want to start or should I?)
(No not at all! Give me a minute and I'll get something up :) )
