@ElderGod-Icefire

He waved a lazy hand at the door. "Should h've been. Should be in a package by th' door." he replied, sitting up fully and running his hands through the door. "Now, start the hot water for a bath." he wasn't looking at her, busy picking a flake of the drugs from his skin.

“Right, thank you,” she said. “Right away, Your Highness.”
They decided not to gripe to him about finally giving them something to do. That would take energy, energy that she had only just gotten from those glorious naps earlier. Better not to waste it.
She turned and went to the bathroom and drew up the water for the bathtub, making sure it was warm and steaming. They gently poured it in, then gathered dry towels and soaps. “It’s ready,” she called.

Riven hauled himself from his bed, grabbing clean clothes and heading into the bathroom. He had not yet recovered the sharpness he had had earlier, though that would likely come back once he was more fully awake. Once she was out of the bathroom, he shut the door, stripped out of his clothes, and slipped into the hot water.

She stepped out as he came in, and once the door was shut, they said, “You know you can call me if you need anything, Your Highness.”
They paused to stretch out their limbs, then went over to the door and opened it. Sure enough, her shawl was folded and tied up with twine, an bundle of herbs also tied together on top of it. Indigo carefully took it in her arms, smiling softly. They moved to their room, placing the herbs in the loose spot underneath the floorboards, and the shawl on top of the bed.

Riven grunted a reply, getting to work on scrubbing off, while also just relaxing in the warm water. The Fae prince was softer around the edges right now, less grumpy. That would go away soon enough, so Indigo should enjoy the break while it lasted. Riven was always softer the morning after a party, always more relaxed and tired.

After a moment Indigo took the shawl and wrapped it around themself, letting its familiarity fill her senses. It was one of the oldest things she owned; she believed it belonged to their father at one point. As such, it also bore the scars that came with such a long life. Rips and tears along the edges, the fraying fabric coming undone by the day. A stain or two that might have been made while she was wearing as child, drool or milk perhaps. Despite all of that, it might as well be Indigo’s greatest luxury and treasure.

Riven stayed in his bath, scrubbing himself off with the soap. Shimmering flakes of the drugs drifted off of his skin and into the water, where they slowly sank to the bottom of the porcelain tub. He was hoping to be able to clean himself off, get everything scrubbed off and clean.

@Tired-but-passionate

After a while Indigo lay down on the bed, still wrapped in the shawl as she began humming to herself. It was always a strange, yet liberating feeling to have nothing to do, so they wanted to understand what it felt like. Was there ever a moment where they felt bored? She was starting to feel something that may have been boredom now. There was nothing to do yet, but why would they go and try to busy themself now?

@ElderGod-Icefire

Riven sighed faintly, eventually getting out of the bath and getting to work on drying off. He looked much better, with the drugs rinsed off of his body and his skin clean.

After a while, she heard the faint sounds of shuffling and moving water reach through the walls. Indigo rose from the cot, leaving the shawl there and peeking out of their door.

Riven dried off and changed into a fresh pair of clothes, hanging the towel up on its hook. He opened the door to the bathroom, leaving it and heading into the sitting room, plopping down on the couch. He looked vaguely tired, but much better than he had before his bath.

@Tired-but-passionate

Seeing the prince move to the sitting room, Indigo fully opened the door and walked out. Folding their hands in front of them, she stopped a short distance from him and made a small bow. “Is there anything else you need, Your Highness?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Riven looked up at her, sighing faintly. "Not at the moment." he replied in a bit of a grumpy tone. To tell the truth, he had no idea what he was supposed to be doing with them. He was not used to having a servant at all times, and he was not used to having to give someone something to do all the time.

@Tired-but-passionate

Indigo looked away so they could roll her eyes, silently mocking him in her head. Not at the moment, meh meh meh. Then they glanced back.
“Alright then, I suppose I’ll go to my room. Or maybe you can actually pluck out my eyes now. Won’t that be fun?” She couldn’t resist reminding him of that incident now that he was properly awake and some time since then had passed.

@ElderGod-Icefire

His gaze cut to her, and he glared at her again. "What, and render you worse than useless?" he asked, cold and irritated. "Just because I did not want a slave and did not choose you, does not mean that I'm going to render you worse than useless." he rolled his eyes, obviously thinking that she was the dumbest thing to ever exist.

@Tired-but-passionate

They couldn’t understand why, but she found him so entertaining. He took her so literally when they just said it as a throwaway line. She struggled to hold back a snicker as he spoke.
“Wow, how nice of you,” they said sarcastically. “But I’m clearly already worthless to you, so why not actually find a good excuse not to use me? Get out of your dear brother’s arrangement.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He rolled his eyes. "Even if you are worthless, he will make me keep you around." he retorted, grimacing slightly. "He will say that it is to teach me a lesson or some other ridiculous thing." he hated that he was trapped with them, and it was no secret in his tone that he did.

@Tired-but-passionate

“Oh, pity.” She smirked. They did nothing to hide that they very much enjoyed seeing him hating every moment of this. Perhaps his brother was right that her being her would teach him a lesson.
“Well, nevermind my eyes, you should start keeping track of yours, Your Highness,” they remarked, raising a brow. “You’re rolling them around so much I’m afraid they’ll fall out of the sockets.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Riven glared at her again. "My eyes are fine where they are." he retorted, shaking his head a little bit. "Are you so desperate to lose yours that you are insulting me?"

@Tired-but-passionate

She laughed. “I’m not insulting you, Your Highness, just making an observation.” They tilted their head at him. “You should just learn when I’m not being serious.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Riven snorted. "I should not need to learn anything. You are not the master here, and it is not my job to learn your mannerisms." he glared at them, crossing his arms.
