"Watch where you're going, boy." The man said, sounding slightly annoyed. Rowan apoligized again and felt his phone buzz in his jacket pocket. He left the room hurriedly, flustered and needing fresh air.

Harrow tilted his head curiously at the I traction and laughed to himself "weirdos," he muttered, letting the cool air wash over him. He sighed and pulled off his suit jacket and dropping it on the floor

Rowan kept walking and pulled his phone out of his pocket, frowning at the message while heading down a couple stairs and out a door into a small courtyard of sorts. He glanced up at the balcony, almost dropping his phone when he saw Harrow.
It seems I already have
oh really? How so? He smiled and set his phone down, glancing out onto the courtyard, finding Rowan staring back. He smirked and saluted
Rowan grinned up at him and leaned against a pillar, folding his arms across his chest. "You look lonely." He commented, slipping the mask off his face and twirling it around his finger.
"no, just not interested in socializing much. Thats more of my mom's thing." He said, swinging both legs over the edge "what about you?"
"My mom tried to set me up with someone, so I ran away. Guess it worked out for the best though." Rowan said, not being able to tear his eyes away from Harrow.
"Yeeah, that's the worst, parents trying to hook up their kids with someone. Usually doesn't end well." He laughed softly "by the way, i found you."
“You did not, in fact, I found you.” Rowan replied, tilting his head to the side as he gazed up at Harrow with a smile.
Harrow shook his head "that's what I want you to think. But in reality, I just waited for to come to me." He smiled innocently and tilted his head
Rowan gasped dramatically. “I can’t believe you would trick me like this.” He said, wiping a fake tear from his eye.
He laughed and tilted his head up "ah, guilty as charged. Your mom didn't help by yelling your name throught the room either."
“Yeah she’s always been a loud person.” He laughed. “I don’t mind though. At least I get to talk to you.”
Harrow blushed, thankful for the mask he still had on "so you don't like parties either?" He asked, leaning towards and leaning his head on his hand
“No, I usually do. But why would I waste my time in there if I could be here with you?”
"cuz I'm not that entertaining to be around?" He shrugged "so whatcha wanna do now?"
“I want to be up there with you..” Rowan replied quietly, sighing. and kiss you and dance with you and tell you that you’re beautiful.. He thought longingly.
" then what's stoping you?" Harrow asked with a laugh. He glanced behind his shoulder as he heard his mother call his name. "I'll meet you here once i figure out what she wants," be promised, getting down from the edge and heading back inside
He was gone before Rowan had a chance to say anything. There was thick ivy climbing the side of the building and a couple bricks sticking out. Rowan climbed up to the side of the balcony and swung his legs over the side.
"Ooh good! There you are, harrow, this is sir Zander Lancey (a.k.a Paris from r&j)" his mother explained, gesturing to the handsome man next to her. Harrow nodded to the other man "nice to meet you,"
"I've just been telling him all about your sketches and stories."
Zander took Harrows hand in his and kissed it "she tells me you're a very talented artist. I'd love to see some of your drawing some time." He said with a thing k accent.
"Uh yeah, maybe.." harrow blushed and pulled his hand away

Rowan leaned against the side of the balcony, oblivious to anything that was happening inside.

ZAnder smiled, seeing the blush on Harrows face "care for a dance?" He asked, offering his hand. Harrow reluctantly took it, not wanting to disappoint his mother. "I..I don't dance..much." he managed
"That's alright, I'll show you." He swung harrow around and wrapped his arms around his waist, tugging him him close to his form "forget about him." He whispered low in his ear.
"I don't know ow who your talking about." Harrow said, breath hitching the closeness of the other
"The one you keep glancing to on the balcony. He can't give you what I can, he can't satisfy your wants and needs."

Rowan waited a couple more minutes before glancing through the window. He saw Harrow and..who is that? The side of the balcony felt cold against his back as he leaned onto it, staring down at the ground.

Harrow tried to pull away but Zander's grip held him in place "you don't know my wants or needs. I can assure you, you are neither of them."
"maybe not now, but soon. After all, we are to be married in 2 months. Oopsies, your mother was supposed to tell you. Surprise." Zander smiled innocently
Harrow just stared blankly, "married?…two months…." He muttered
Zander cupped his cheek "now let's show the world our love, my dear fiance." Harrow tried to pull away again but couldn't as Zander pressed his lips against his, hard and cold, promising that if harrow went along with the marriage, a whole life of forced romance and unwanted lusy would come from Zander. Harrow stood frozen while Zander attempted to kiss him. He could here the crowd woo at the scene, only praying that Rowan couldn't see
Rowan felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes. This wasn’t happening, he was faking it..right? He had to be. Rowan stood still, frozen where he stood, watching them.
Zander pulled away with a seductive smile "I can't wait to do that again on out honeymoon, hopefully with less prying eyes and less clothing between us." He purred
Harrow flinch and pulled away "excuse me for a moment." He muttered softly, shoving his way through the crowd to try to get to the exit. He could here his mother calling him back but he ignored her. Damn it harrow! He chastised himself, heading outside to the main enterence. Once far enough away from the house, he ran to the nearest park, hoping to God that no one saw him
Rowan shook his head and climbed down the balcony as fast as he could. He saw Harrow walk out the main entrance and followed him quickly. No one saw him leave and no one seemed to be following them. “Harrow!” He called, wiping a tear off his face. “Please wait!”
“Wha-“ harrow turned "oh," he smiled sadly and shook his head "i'm sorry, I…" His voice cracked as Words failed him. he backed away. He turned and sprinted to the park
“No! Harrow..please don’t go..” Rowan trailed away, taking a step forward with his hand out. What makes you think he still loves you?
Harrow made his way through the park, finding a small creating and tree to sit under. He tore off the mask and collapsed on the ground why didn't you leave! Why didn't you move away?! You could've faught back! Instead you just stood there and let it happen while Rowan watched! That kiss wasn't meant for him, it was meant for Rowan.
