Oof, the only spell I've done is a money jar and a charm I found online (I think it was a fake, but I tried it anyways.)

@Elder-God-Whisper work

My love spell was a talisman with a lot of spices and some lavender essential oil, and I was super worried people would smell it and ask why I smelled like an herbal shop. It was bad enough when I was changing my shirt for my fashion design class and this really nasty, judgmental girl asked what the pink pouch on a chain around my neck was, and I just stayed quiet and she just got even nastier to me and my friend when he stood up to defend me, and started trash-talking us.

Sorry but like why is it any of her business why you had a pouch around your neck?
Is it effecting her life? No. So why does she have the right to judge you for that.
I'm sorry, I just hate it when certain individuals think it is okay to pick out little things on people and judge them for it. Especially when it comes to judgement of the craft and the way people choose to use it.

@Elder-God-Whisper work

I knew she was going to get judgemental and ask a lot of questions if I told her I'm a witch and was working on a spell, because of course, media has to screw everything up for people's perspective of the craft…

Yo! For Christmas (my family celebrates it so I milk out gifts for it) I'm asking for a deck of tarot, but I'm an Amazon and I'm trying to find a good deck that I like. If I can't, I'm just going to make some.

@EternallyEris

Oof no no no
You need to buy your deck in person.
Tarot is an extension of your conscious and unconscious mind, the cards need to call to you and you to them.
Energy exchange and all that.

@CWPoofToxicRush

Not sure if it's related, but my mother always told me you're not supposed to get your first pack of Tarot for yourself. Though from what I've seen, it does sort of seem to be more out of tradition/some sort of symbolism thingy than anything that might affect anything, so you probably don't have to worry too much about it.

I made my first set XD
But yes, I'm asking my father if we can go to an apothecary with a nice place with a bunch of tarot sets soon, so I should be able to convince him to get me one.

Well…

Every day from the start of Yule I light a white candle and let it burn down.
On Christmas Eve I light two white candles and a blue one.
Christmas Day is two white, two blue and one red.
For the rest of Yule it is only one white candle.

I decorate my room with holly leaves and make a small wreath to place on my alter.

The one tradition that I would love to do, is the burning of the Yule log. I can't do that as long as I am living in this house, because questions will be asked.

Though there are lots of things you can do to celebrate Yule:

  • Ceremonially light candles to encourage the sun to grow stronger. Or light a Yule candle on Christmas Eve and leave to burn until morning (Make sure the candle is in a safe position where it cannot get blown over and cause a fire).
  • Have a feast celebrating all of the food harvested in the previous few months. (Unless you don't grow your own veg and herbs etc)
  • Exchange presents. Think about keeping your presents simple and seasonal, perhaps something you have grown or something handmade.
  • Celebrate the burning of the Yule log.
  • Get crafty and make your own seasonal wreath for your door, your own decorations or food gifts.

@RedTheLoveless

I don't think I'll be able to do the barrage of candles (I can maybe do the one overnight), but I can definitely do the feasting, present-giving, and an attempt at making a wreath for my portable altar.

Thank you so much for the suggestions, Lee!
