@Blueberry_Chick

Melody pulls a pencil from behind her ear and scribbles on a notepad she pulled from her back pocket.
I'm Melody. I just moved here and I'm already lost.

@bubblegum

Callie smiled a bit, brushing some auburn fringe from his eyes. If a deaf person can do it, so can you. His metal hands glinted in the sun - for his hands, arms, and some of his back were metal-made. The rest was human.

@Blueberry_Chick

Melody, wanting to be polite, tried not to stare. She often hid her elf ears and white hair under a hat to keep from drawing attention to herself. She smiled at Callie, hoping she might have made a new friend.
You're probably right. I'm looking for some place. Do you happen to know where Cake View Cafe is?
Melody attempt to be subtle when she asks, although she's not sure how well she acts.

@Blueberry_Chick

Melody's hands start to shake, but she quickly hides them behind her back.
If you could take me, that would be great. But you don't have to if you're busy. I could probably find my way there eventually.
She tucks her jacket around her tighter, running a hand over her left arm. Although she doesn't want to get anyone else involved, she still needs help finding the cafe.

@bubblegum

No, I will. I had nothing to do. Callie wrote with a small smile, eventually tucking the notebook and pen away.

Cake View Cafe is a vintage themed cafe with shelves and shelves of cakes on the walls, thus the name. There are three people in the cafe when Melody and Callie arrive. One old man is sitting in a corner with a mug of coffee. A teenage girl stands behind the counter, and a middle-aged woman stands in the kitchen behind her. When Melody and Calle walk in, the woman smiles real big. "Melody is that you? I haven't seen you in almost four years. You should visit more often." Melody smiles nervously. "Hello, Belle. This is my, umm… friend?… Callie. He's deaf." Melody them turns to Callie with her notebook out. This is my old friend Belle. She gestures to the woman. Thank you so much for showing me to the cafe.

@Blueberry_Chick

Belle's eye's widened and she grabs a napkin and pen from behind her. Hello Callie. Are you looking for Kimmy and Kyle too? Melody quickly jumps in. Talking as she writes. "No no. He was just showing me to the cafe. He doesn't know about Kimmy and Kyle." she writes to Callie. It's not important. It's kind of dangerous so I'd hate to involve you. Just tell the truth. Just say no.

@Blueberry_Chick

Belle nods and returns to the kitchen. Melody turns to Callie. Again, thank you so much for showing me to the cafe. I have to go. She gives him a small smile turns away. Walking to the edge of the room, she lifts up one of the cakes on the wall, presses a blue button hidden underneath, and walked through the opening that appears to the left.

@bubblegum

Callie's eyes widened, looking around. None of the other customers seemed to be paying attention, so…who was he to pass up something like this? Of course he walked in after her, careful to be quiet enough so Melody wouldn't hear. He trusted his self-installed guns enough to protect him from whatever 'danger' this was.

@Blueberry_Chick

Melody walks through a dim hallway into a well-lit room. A table is in the middle, covered in blueprints and schematics. Melody walks through another door, which opens to downward stairs. There sits a room with three other people. A human with hair falling over her face, a robot with a cloak, and a tall half-orc with a guitar on his back. She doesn't seem to hear anything or seem suspicious.

@bubblegum

Callie was a little surprised - very confused - but lingered in the shadows at the top of the stairs. He knew whenever he needed them, a ring of small cannons would form a sort of ring, or halo around the back of his head, ready to fire.

@Blueberry_Chick

Nobody says anything as Melody walks into the room, timidly walking around the people in the room. When she's almost past them and out of the room the human speaks. "Hey, Mel. It's been a while, three… four years? How's the arm?" Melody unconsciously grabs her left arm, stiffening. "Hey. Yeah, four years. My arms fine. You… Have you seen Kimmy and Kyle?" The robot speaks up, and surprisingly his voice is very realistic. "Last I saw them they were at Madras Palace." Melody nods, and slowly starts edging herself closer to the door and away from them. "Oh, and Mel…" She freezes again. "You're being followed." Melody nods. "I know. He's alright. Leave him alone." Immediately she escapes through the door.

@bubblegum

((Ah, ok))
Callie didn't move, wondering for a moment if the door he had come through opened again…and if it did, would it do so without noise? It wasn't like he could know, even if he did test it.

@Blueberry_Chick

Melody waited outside the door she just exited, peeking through the keyhole to watch the room. When Callie did not follow behind her immediately she grew worried. She weighed her options. Go back and face them again, or wait longer. She decided to wait a bit more.

Zain sat in a chair, swinging his legs and adjusting the charm on his gun. He hummed idly as he did so, he watched everyone who passed by and glared at anyone who looked at him odly.

@Blueberry_Chick

Melody slowly inched the door open, timidly watching the room and wondering where her friend had disappeared to. She edged into the room, sticking close to the wall.

@bubblegum

Callie slipped into a small crevice, unfolding the halo around his head. He didn't know what was around the corner, or really what to do.

@Blueberry_Chick

Melody hid in the corner of the room and watched the door, waiting for Callie to make sure he was alright. She was sure he had followed her down here, and she planned to make sure he got out alright.
