Daphne narrows her eyes slightly at Osir. She blinks a few times, then glances at Lili. Oh- maybe I shouldn’t have closed the door. Oops. She glances back at Osir. “Nice to meet you too, I guess.” She sounds a bit abrasive now, and her demeanor is anything but content. Truthfully, she just wants to be left alone. She considers retreating back into the room, but decides against it. I can’t stay in there forever, so I might as well suck it up and try to socialize…

GLaDOS looks at Avirex. “What are you doing? Don’t get its attention!” She seems… almost scared of the bird. Her pupils dilate slightly as she looks at the bird again, then go back to their original size as she stands up. “I… was going to go back inside anyway.” She quickly walks back into the house, shutting the door behind her.

Osir chuckles.

"Still not a fan of me, I see. No matter. I promise I am a better person than I look to be," he says quietly, putting his mask back on.

He turns and starts to walk away before pausing. He turns his head slightly, looking at Daphne out of the corner of his eye.

"Be careful. Nothing is ever as it seems, not when you've been moved to a strange place with stranger people. Watch your back and keep your cards to your chest. No matter what world you're from, people are scummy and brutal and will do anything to get what they want," he says.

He disappears into the shadows, going. . . somewhere.

He didn't know where.

There was a tree.

And then he spotted a door being closed and tilts his head at it, following closely.

He opens it and spots GLaDOS.

He hurries after her.

Arezias watches everything with boredom and sighs.

"I'm hungry. Is there anything to eat?" they ask into the void.

Daphne huffs slightly and mumbles under her breath. “As if I don’t already know that.” She leans against the wall and sits on the floor, hugging her knees to her chest.

GLaDOS pauses and looks over her shoulder, staring at Osir for a moment. Why are these creatures so interested in talking to me? She sighs quietly and turns around to face him. “Hello again.” She straightens her posture, clearly trying to add an air of intimidation to her demeanor. Her pupils are still slightly dilated, though.

Osir blinks.

"Well, the act is adorable sweetheart. But you can drop it. I'm not particularly scared by you," he says bluntly. He takes off his mask, and only a small wave of magic escapes.

He puts it. . . somewhere. No clue where, but it's important to the interaction.

"You're one of the only slightly tolerable people here I think. Daphne I'm pretty sure hates everyone already. Avirex and Arezias are. . . their own special brands of crazy, on opposite ends of the spectrum. And the other girl, I'm not sure what her deal is. And you won't flinch away every time I move my hands," he sighs.

GLaDOS tilts her head at Osir. “I do have a name, you know. And it’s not ’sweetheart.’ Also, I’m not doing any acting.” That was partially a lie. She was technically programmed to act intimidating, but broke out of her programming occasionally. To be fair, she was trying to scare Osir away, but that obviously hadn’t worked. She sighs. “And how am I any better?” She was genuinely curious as to how this creature thought GLaDOS was better company than anyone else there.

"GLaDOS is too. . . clinical. You need an actual name. Until I can find one, you'll be 'sweetheart.' Got it, sweetheart?" Osir chuckles.

"And if you're not acting, care to explain why your eyes look so afraid as compared to your clearly forced air of noncaring and intimidation?" he adds.

"You're better than them because you're - from what I can tell - mostly honest. At least you don't dance around with words. Despite my love for politics and diplomacy, it gets very tiring to keep it up at all times. Someone like you who doesn't care what others think is quite refreshing," he shrugs.

GLaDOS crosses her arms and glares at Osir. “Is it really that hard to remember my name?” Her voice drips with sarcasm, and her pupils constrict seemingly on command. “Anyway, whether or not I’m acting isn’t very important. This entire conversation is pointless, really.” She pauses for a moment, tapping her foot slightly. “I am typically very blunt. But that’s mostly because I was programmed that way. If I had any care for what others thought, it would just be a hindrance.”

@Null-Gravity language

Osir smirks.

"No. It's just not a name, is it? It's a designation. It means you're property," he rebuttles.

"Pointless how? Because you deem it to be? Don't be so self-centered, sweetheart. It's bad for your health," Osir replies off-handedly.

"There you go again, mentioning 'code' and 'programing.' Doesn't it aggravate you, being given no choice in what you are? Doesn't it aggravate you, to be placed in such a tiny box that you can only think of the interests of those who made you? Do you ever wish to be different, to explore, to do what others can only dream of? To become something more than what you were before?" he hums.
