Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :>

Also, the quote in the title is an actual in-game Kokichi quote directed towards Shuichi!

As reports of yet another robbery came in, Detective Shuichi Saihara sighed to himself. They were dealing with the appearance of a new phantom thief, but that was all that they knew. No one had actually ever seen him. All the evidence that there was of this occurring were pieces that he intentionally left behind to gain attention and direct it towards himself. He had never been close to being caught, though, so they knew nothing about their suspect.

Determined to figure out who was behind all of this, he quickly made his way to the scene of the crime. There was still a chance that the thief was still there or at least in the area. If he wanted attention so badly, he would eventually make himself known to the police. He'd probably enjoy the thrill of being chased as well, simply waiting for someone skilled enough to find him before he could flee the scene. Clearly these crimes were nothing more than a game for him. That was obvious.

As the detective arrived, through the corner of his eye, he saw the thief attempting to flee the scene. He didn't notice much about him other than a white outfit and purple hair. Those were the only characteristics he took note of before he began to chase the other. It was unlikely that he would catch him in their first encounter, but he was still determined. This was certainly going to be an interesting chase.

Shuichi immediately ran after the thief, although he knew that he would likely have many tactics to evade capture. This was nothing more than a game to him, and his laughter and taunting only proved that. It became increasingly obvious that everything about this interaction was nothing but a game. He had no fear of being caught and punished for his crimes; all he felt was the thrill of the chase and the love of the attention his actions garnered. This would certainly be an interesting scenario, and the detective knew that as he followed the thief.

Kokichi haddnt planned on there being a straight dead end up ahead "shit!" He mumbled to himself, thinking in the few moments he had before turning around and facing the cop

@Gaytective-Saihara

The dead end created a surprisingly quick end to the chase. The detective fully expected the thief to find a way out of the situation to evade capture, although he wasn't sure how he was going to get out of this one. Still, he expected Kokichi to have a trick up his sleeve, as most phantom thieves did. This wasn't the detective's first experience with them, that was for sure, but this was the first one that he was directly involved in, the main detective going after the thief.

"Alright, you're coming with me," he said softly and calmly as he approached the thief.

As he got a better look at Kokichi's face, he found himself distracted. He froze in place as he looked at the short, purple-haired thief. There was something about his appearance, his, innocent-looking eyes, his soft face, it all seemed to be adorable to the detective. He wasn't sure what he was feeling, but he found himself thinking that the thief he was after was absolutely adorable.

@The_short_cyberphyco

Kokichi growled softly, taking the advantage of the detective zoning out to get away again. But as he jumped, his cloak came undone, the fabric drifting over to Shuichi.
Kokichi couldn't go after it, he needed to run and get away before more cops showed up

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi seemed to snap out of his momentary daze once he saw Kokichi's cloak. It seemed that the thief had lost it since it was with the detective despite the thief being nowhere in sight. That also meant that Kokichi had gotten away. He just had to zone out in the middle of a chase. He had him right where wanted him, too! Did the thief have a plan to catch him off guard with his adorable appearance? How could that have even been a plan? No matter what, the detective had to go after him.

"Wait…!" he called after him as he ran.

Internally scolding himself for getting distracted and letting the thief get away from him, he ran back, hoping to find Kokichi. A part of him wanted to do this to arrest him and bring him to justice, but another part of him wanted to know more about him. He wasn't sure what he was feeling, but something in him didn't want to see Kokichi get arrested and suffer. That thief was certainly messing with his mind somehow.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi sighed softly as he noticed that Kokichi had completely disappeared. All he had was the cloak that he was wearing to serve as evidence that he had interacted with the thief at all. He wondered if the other would try to find him to get his cloak back. While it would be a stupid thing to do, the thief viewed everything as a game, so it was possible that he would show up just to take his cloak and create another chase for no reason other than he was bored and wanted to have some fun.

As the detective left the scene, he ended up going back to his house. There was nothing else to investigate. The thief had gotten away, and he didn't feel like being yelled at over everything, so he dropped the cloak off at his house before heading back to work. There, he would have to explain what happened between him and the thief, but he wouldn't explain the circumstances of his escape. Now that the cloak wasn't with him, it could be assumed that he didn't get close enough to make contact with Kokichi. As much as he hated lying, he had to so he could still be seen as competent enough to work on the case.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi found himself wearing Kokichi's cloak during the night. He wasn't sure what compelled him to wear it, but his fascination with the thief seemed to be taking over his mind. He found himself wanting to know more about him, and he had discussed this with a friend of his, but that was it. Of course, he never mentioned how he felt, just the events and how he had Kokichi's cloak.

As he found himself unable to sleep, even in the cloak, which was fairly comfortable, he stood up to see a figure on his balcony. Upon further inspection, it was none other than the phantom thief whose cloak had ended up in his possession. So he had followed him home, it seemed. That was a bit creepy, but he couldn't do much about it. He may as well interact with him since he seemed to be waiting for him.

"Hi…?" he sighed, feeling awkward as he stepped outside. "Um…why…why are you…at my house…? For your cloak…? You can, um, you can have it… I-I just, um, what…? Why here…?"

He felt awkward and confused, and his social anxiety seemed to get the better of him as he spoke. He just hoped that Kokichi wouldn't be bothered by that.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi could feel himself blush as he heard Kokichi's comment. He didn't know why the other complimented him so quickly, but it made his face go red, although he knew that he was easily flustered to begin with. He really wondered why Kokichi came to his house at one in the morning, though. Even if the chase was all a game, why would he go to a detective's house in the middle of the night when he could have easily been captured? Of course, Shuichi didn't intend on capturing him, but it would've been a possibility had he met another detective instead of him.

"I-I, um, I will…" he responded after a moment. "U-um…j-just…why…why are y-you…here…?"

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi completely looked away from Kokichi after he made the comment. He couldn't believe that Kokichi came to his house to get his cloak just to give up on that and admire him instead. Things were certainly very interesting, and he could feel himself blushing a lot because of the comments that Kokichi was making.

"I-I, um…al-alright…b-but…I-I should…g-go inside… I-it's late…"

He turned away to head back into his house, but due to it being dark and also him not paying too much attention to where he was going due to everything on his mind, he ended up walking straight into his door, which not only added to his embarrassment but hurt as well. Of all times to do something that stupid, why then? Why walk directly into a door? It's not like he meant to walk right into the glass door, but it did, and it hurt. After a moment, he could feel blood as well. The force must have caused his nose to bleed.

"Ow…" he mumbled softly to himself, stopping instead of heading inside.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi almost seemed surprised to see that Kokichi was trying to help him, although it made sense that he would try to help the detective that he had seemed to have taken an interest in. He wasn't entirely sure why he cared as much as he did, though. All he did was end up walking into the door since he wasn't paying attention and could have sworn that he left it open since hd didn't intend on interacting with Kokichi for too long.

"I-I'm alright…" he attempted to assure him after a moment. He was pretty sure that he would be fine once the bleeding stopped and the pain went away. "Don't worry…"

@Gaytective-Saihara

Of course, Shuichi quickly seemed to notice, and he wondered how Kokichi could forget that his own outfit was white, now stained with the detective's blood. The bleeding didn't stop after that, either, although that was to be expected. He basically walked into the door with full force since he was already expecting it to be open. He was sure that he would be fine in a little bit.

"Don't worry too much about me…" he told him as he opened the door. "If you wanna come inside because you're that concerned, go ahead… Just…stop using your clothes… You're staining them with blood…"

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi sighed softly at the joking comment. While it did add to his villain look, it also made it look like he had gotten into a violent fight with someone, and he didn't need him to get into more trouble. He didn't seem to mind that he had gotten his outfit stained with blood, though. In fact, the detective noticed quickly that he seemed much more intent on helping him rather than anything else.

Despite not knowing his name and having only met him because he was trying to catch him, he seemed to be pretty nice aside from the whole being a thief for a living thing. He still didn't understand why Kokichi cared so much about him, he didn't seem to mind it. Honestly, it was kind of touching that someone cared about him like that.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi nodded in response before doing as he was told to. It was pretty sweet that Kokichi seemed to care about him, especially since they just met and Shuichi was realistically supposed to catch him and get him arrested, not somehow end up getting close to him. However, the detective seemed pretty happy with how things were going, aside from the fact that he walked right into his door and ended up hurting himself in the process. That aside, he was in a fairly good mood.
