hey! a lot of you might know me, or at least have seen me around. i'm a writer just like most of you, which is why i thought this was the perfect place to bring this opportunity

i'm on the editorial board for a literary magazine called disclaimer, founded here(just last month!) in tacoma! we're opening our submissions up, and putting out calls to spread the word, and guess what? we're international! it doesn't matter where you live, you're welcome to sign up and submit your work! with absolutely no fee!

the magazine is done by write253, and yes, don't worry, it is legit. i know it can sometimes be scary trying to put your trust in something that could be a scam, but i've participated in multiple events with and through them, and all of them have been really incredible.

you can find submissions here, and over here take a look at the talented teams and board behind it, including me(sage!)! our submission deadline is october 23rd, and you can email any questions you have to me at [email protected] if you're interested, but confused about anything, or even ask them here!

i really hope a few of you submit, i know there are so many talented teens and young adults on here that deserve to be able to see their work featured. good luck!

submit you cowards, you'll thank me for the confidence boost. also my boss would cry to get any submissions in prose, art, or photography. hell, i'm pretty sure you could send in an essay you were super proud of on an important topic, and he would email us all about it

brief rundown of how this works:

we're doing blind submissions. basically what that means is that our teams(made up of teens who have no clue who you are lmao) will be given the submissions, which don't have your personal info on them. we then decide which fit the vibe best, obviously lmao

i'm pretty sure only the adults getting the submissions(who are all credited on the site) will see the actual emails themselves. i have not had any access to submissions beyond the submissions themselves, meaning the actual work, which we have in a google drive. mike might honestly be the only one who gets the emails

@croccin-champagne

also, if you include in the email that you'd like your work anonymized should it make it into the magazine, or that you don't want any of the staff beyond who's necessary to see it, i'm sure your request will be taken seriously!

all art and prose folks might be excited to learn that the board decided to push back your guys' deadline to november 6th! there's still time for you guys to submit!!!

we're doing a spring issue! issue two has finally left the print house and you should absolutely go check out the site, maybe buy yourself a copy if you didnt get a spot in the mag(y'all will have some coming i think). please please please go harass your friends and family and random strangers on the street. all are valid options thank you

@GoodThingGoing group

I got mine in the mail and they're absolutely gorgeous!! It's so surreal to hold something that has my writing in it. I never thought I'd actually have something published before I'm 18, it's wild to me that I now have!
