1993- Jonas Strander (20) and Abigail (21) meet in college.

1999- Jonas (26) and Abigail (27) are married.

2005- Jonas (32) and Abigail (33) Strander adopt three kids from a foster home in Florida. Thomas Berreck- 4 years old, Kimberly Lees- 6 years old, and Cera Gilat- 6 years old.
-They and the three children and returned to their home in Utah.
-Jonas is recruited by a company researching worlds existing within our own. Jonas is hesitant but the CEO manages to convince him with strong evidence. He joins the research team.

2006- Kimberly develops mild telekinetic abilities and keeps it between her and Cera.
-Jonas has a breakthrough in his research, believing he had created a containable black hole. He is thrown out of the lab being accused of getting off track and losing his mind. Jonas curses them and begins research at his own home. He gains access to another world, he captures a few of its inhabitants and experiments on them.
-As the months go by Abigail grows worried about Jonas' health, he spends more and more time in his "lab" which is simply Kimberly's old bedroom forcing her and Cera to share a room.
-Thomas stumbles into the lab on a day Jonas leaves the door unlocked, he sees the dismembered bodies of the "aliens." Abigail calls the police and Jonas is arrested.
-Abigail tells the kids that Jonas went overseas to work. She grows tense around them. lashing out at the slightest action.

2007- Jonas (34) learns he has gained power. He accidentally steals the life force of his cellmate. Determined to return to his "lab" and retreat to the other world he breaks out stealing the life of everyone coming in contact with him. Gaining more power with each death his radius of absorption grows. Technology across the planet begins to ebb, the world reacts to his power, earthquakes, volcanic activity, Hurricane force winds, and tsunamis. Jonas' power reaches its peak, the life force of everyone on the planet contained within him, he is exposed to the expanse of the universe. Jonas' body breaks and his essence is split in two. Half, his willpower, is absorbed into Kimberly. The other half, his emotion, is lost in the void where Cera finds him in the final novel. Everyone has their life force returned to them and the place where Jonas stood when he reached the peak of his power lies a pit, at the bottom of the pit is a portal to the other world.
- February 8th, 2007 millions of lives were lost in natural disasters across the planet, Florida and many other islands were swallowed by the ocean. Jonas Strander disappeared.

2012- Kimberly starts hearing a voice in her head, she shares this with Cera who tells her it's her conscious.

2014- Kimberly, having run away from home, stumbles upon the pit. The voice urges her to leap into the pit. She does. gaining control of her telekinetic abilities Kimberly slaughters several villages worth of people in the other world before she finds herself awoken by the pit in her own world. Time has barely passed when she returns home. (1 day in our world=1 month in the other world) Kimberly tells no one about her experience in the other world.
-The voice urges Kimberly to bring her siblings to the other world, she continually refuses.

2015- Kimberly finally gives in to the voice and convinces Cera and Thomas to go with her to a better place. They sneak out at night and leap into the pit. This is where the first novel begins. (In the other world it's been 244 years since a madman kidnapped people and took them away, and 30 years since a psychic girl slaughtered hundreds)
