A Chonny’s Charming Chaos Compendium x Hawaii: Part II AU.

Act I: Cacophony

Heart, Mind, and Soul (mainly Heart and Mind) start arguing. A lot. The tension rises very quickly, and each character’s mental state declines even more quickly. This goes on for a while until, during a particularly heated argument between Heart and Mind, Heart ends up shooting Mind. The shot misses and hits his throat, however, and he doesn’t die. Soul sees what happened and punishes them both severely, blinding Heart and ripping off Mind’s fucking arms (☠️). Heart gets imprisoned in the void of Apathy for an unspecified amount of time, while Mind struggles with the loss of his other half and the fear and guilt that fester as a result, and Soul struggles with conflicting thoughts about the punishment while his mental state is nearly completely done for, as the mental struggles of the Whole effect Soul the most. After an unspecified amount of time, Heart is returned to the Headspace, and now has to adjust to being blind, as well as the heavy trauma that resulted from the incident. After a while longer of nobody’s mental state improving, Soul finally makes the call to just kill the Whole, and everyone else with him.

Act II: Calamity

Quinn Harmonia (the Whole) has attempted suicide, and the story starts with him having just been released from the hospital. He stays locked up in his room for a while, essentially just doing nothing and rotting away. His best friend, Stella Octangula, talks to him eventually, and the two of them agree to go on a walk together, in the hope of improving Quinn’s mental state a bit. The next day, they do take their walk, and it goes well. Until it doesn’t. Does the weird inverted colors thing /j. Stella is killed by someone unknown, and runs away before anyone can witness. Quinn ends up accused of the murder. During Quinn’s trial, he decides to plead insanity (Mind rn: STOP PLEASE YOU HAVE THE UPPER HAND KNOWING YOU DIDNT DO IT), which works a bit too well. Quinn is sent to a mental hospital, where he panics for a bit before they decide to give him electroshock therapy. The shock therapy ends up making him go genuinely insane, which you can see near the end of Calamity.

Act III: Concord

Quinn escapes the mental hospital and starts recovering. Heart, Mind, and Soul also start recovering. Everybody heals. The end. (Despite the possibility for multiple endings in the fan game, Concord is the canon / “true” ending.)

Surreal, YA, fantasy

So, the origin of the Headspace is basically this:

Quinn has a crush on a girl in high school. Of course, as most of these stories go, she was way out of his league. Eventually, Quinn decided to ask this girl out. Instead of letting him down gently, or even just being a little mean or blunt, she had rejected him harshly, telling him that she would rather die than be with him.

Unbeknownst to Quinn, this caused a world to spawn in his mind, called the Headspace. There, Heart, Mind, and Soul were born. They were about the same age he was, with Heart being a bit younger, and therefore more childish.

in the Headspace: normally, it would work the same as the real world. due to the nature of the Headspace, however, these laws can be broken to an extent. you don’t see this happen often, though.

in the real world, it works exactly like our world.

in the Headspace: this is a moderate to high fantasy setting, so characters have magical abilities to a certain degree. Heart has wings and the ability to fly, as well as an abnormal sense of empathy; Soul can summon things at his will, as long as they’re inanimate objects; and Mind. . . um.

in the real world, it works exactly like ours.

the technology levels are the same both in the Headspace and in the real world.

I’m working on a fan game for this in RPG Maker MZ, particularly a visual novel. Don’t expect it to be done anytime soon, if at all.

Team 6x111 consists of Vane Lily, Ghost and Pals, Monstrosity, PRiNZ, Zion XYZ, Ophelia, Mors, Carbon Monoxide, R.I.P, and Okaavri.

I may or may not make covers of some of the playlist’s songs. We’ll see in the future, I suppose.
