Magic can be cast with wands, rocks, words, and movements. If you are really good you can perform a spell without saying anything. Most word spells come from latin terms. Stuff with wands is different. Wand casting is very movement based. Its normally to add power to a spell or concentrate magic. Hands and feet movements are deeply connected to nature. They help like wands for some spells by concentrating magic. Most witches start out with earth magic from their hands.
