Well, its just normal laws of physics, unless the Rift says otherwise, weather it being, there is no gravity in a rift, or theres a lot of a magic in play.

Its in an area in Otherside of it being between a Type 1 to Type 2 civilization. Its closer to at Type 2, but it still resembles modern-day Earth, but in the dimensions cosmos, its way different.
