Twilightvania was born from the empress’s power of creation and along with the help of the moons. Everyone and everything is made up of a piece of the Twilightvania galaxy and the moons

Almost everything is made from the empress’s power. Every creature and every thing. The empress was born out of the galaxy, she was originally in the Twilightvania Moon but a chunk of the moon crashed into Twilightvania which technically gave the empress her living form. Which explains her godlike powers.

There is a story that explains how Twilightvania came to be, it all started with the destructive Shadow Plague.

The Shadow Plague was the greatest disaster to ever happen in Twilightvania, which nearly destroyed the world. When Twilightvania was still very young, the empress wasn't in her best state mentally and emotionally, and these emotions and dark thoughts she had corrupted her abilities and Twilightvania itself and her other creations were affected by it heavily and things didn’t go as the way she planned. She took a break to heal herself, she went back into the Twilightvania Moon and basically took a long rest which was many many years, once she was healed, she would get back to working on Twilightvania.

The corruption from the empresses dark thoughts, manifested and took over Twilightvania, and as this corruption began to spread more like weeds, the corruption was strong enough to take on an actual living form. This new abomination started to infected everything in its path and it grew and grew, the more things in Twilightvania it touched, the stronger the creature grew, to the point where it became an actual threat to the whole world.

The creature found its way into the empire of Twilightvania and corrupted the empire and its citizens, and declared itself the new ruler of Twilightvania, and it's name was "The Shadow Queen", and she began to create a new, but horrible world. Every citizen inside Twilightvania, was infected and turned into a shadow-like abomination, and forgot every memory who they used to be and worshiped The Shadow Queen like a god and became mind slaves for the Queen.

The Shadow Queen was the physical embodiment of all sorts of evil and cruelty you could imagine, she was violent, full of rage and no remorse for her cruelty, even the healthy creatures of Twilightvania would bow to her because they were so afraid of her. Whoever dares to stand up to her or try to be above her level, she would cut off their heads in public for all to see, and mount them on spikes or on the castle walls to make every creature in Twilightvania follow her order. Many creatures have said that The Shadow Queen's vile appearance and wickedness are the dark thoughts and emotions the empress had which manifested into a living being, and some also have said The Shadow Queen is the darker counterpart of the empress.

Which started the belief that every creature has a dark counterpart of them, if you believe the dark thoughts and emotions your counterpart says and succumb to it, your counterpart will become more powerful from feeding on the negativity and will begin to grow and manifest itself into the opposite version of yourself, and will attempt to take over your life and ruin everything and everyone you love.

A brave group of healthy creatures in Twilightvania, escaped the city just in time before it got fully infected, and built a rebellion group against The Shadow Queen. The group rescued creatures who were in danger from the corruption of this new dark force and took them in their hidden underground base for refuge until this disaster was over.

The group had a theory that when the empress went back into the Twilightvania Moon, the corruption began, and they had to figure out a way to awaken the empress to save Twilightvania before its too late.
The group found an old legend about these powerful crystals called: "Eldritch Crystals", which was used to trap creatures and even Gods who were a threat to Twilightvania. These crystals can also be used to communicate and even summon creatures from other dimensions, if it is used properly. The group had a plan to find out the locations of these crystals and gather them all to summon the empress back into Twilightvania, so she can eliminate the corruption and cleanse Twilightvania.

The plan had worked and the empress was awakened and brought into Twilightvania by using an ancient summoning ritual from the Eldritch Crystals. When the empress was back into Twilightvania, her powers was taken away from her and was left weakened. But not everything was taken from her, she was still powerful enough to survive by being born as a Moon Presence, and that was the only power that was impossible for the Shadow Queen to take from her. While the empress was sleeping inside the moon, the Shadow Queen took away her power which gave her the ability to manipulate Twilightvania. The empress was told about the corruption and everyone had to act fast before Twilightvania is consumed by the Shadow Queen. The rebellion prepared for war against the Shadow Queen. When the empress awakened, the Shadow Queen could feel that she was back and she had to get rid of the empress quick as possible before the empress stops her.

The rebellion and along with the empress marched to the Twilightvania empire and the war began. They charged through the empire, battling the Shadow Queens soldiers. The Shadow Queen used the infected citizens as an obstacle for the rebellion, the infected citizens would attack them but the rebellion had to avoid the infected citizens because if they kill them, they would kill the real citizen inside of the corruption and they had to find a way to avoid hurting them.

The rebellion found a way to lure the infected citizens outside of the empire safely and locked them out so they won’t be killed. Now all that was left was the Shadow Queen. The rebellion wished the empress good luck before she was set off to the castle to confront and defeat the Shadow Queen. The empress fought through thousands of shadow soldiers and other shadow abominations on her way to the castle, once she was inside, the battle between the empress and the Shadow Queen began.

The empress attacked the Shadow Queen with her weapon with all her might, but nothing was working. The Shadow Queen laughed and mocked the empress and boasted about herself how she can’t be defeated. The empress realized that the Shadow Queen was apart of herself and weapons and magic won’t work to defeat her. She noticed a way to defeat the Shadow Queen, the empress had to stand up to her darker counterpart and forgive herself.

The empress sheathed her sword, and yelled loud as she could, telling the Shadow Queen that she isn’t apart of her. But the empresses voice shakes with fear and the Shadow Queen was slightly weakened. The empress needed truth and confidence in her voice which will truly defeat the Shadow Queen. And so, the empress kept yelling louder and louder, standing up to her darker counter part with more confidence and power in her voice builds up, and the Shadow Queen began to be effected it.

The Shadow Queen doesn’t back down, and replies back to the empress with hate and negativity, but the empress kept her power and stood up to her. The Shadow Queen covered her ears and pleaded to the empress for forgiveness, but the empress did not stop, the Shadow Queen had to be defeated. When the Shadow Queen was finally weakened, she fell to the ground, vulnerable with no power and begged the empress to spare her.

The empress picked up her sword, looked at the Shadow Queen in her eyes, raising her sword and said, “I will not let my realm bow to a false monarch that was created by a corrupted essence who is only strong by taking the happiness of others who will never accept you as a queen. You do not deserve to rule a realm if you take the heart out of it and crush it for your own benefit. You’ll only be left ruling a pile of ruins and be filled with shame, because you know that you’re not queen and you force everything to be your way to feel like one.” And stabbed the Shadow Queen in her heart.

Once the Shadow Queen was defeated, all of her influence was destroyed and Twilightvania and its inhabitants were saved. And the empress regained her true form and power and was able to rule and protect Twilightvania for eternity.

There is technology but at the same time there really isn't. Some technology are in the Steampunk spectrum, but there is no modern technology like phones (there are phones kind of, but they're not iPhones, they're like Victorian styled phones) or televisions, etc. Most technology is mostly made out of gears/cogs and machines, basically Victorian technology
