History - What is The New Age’s history?

In 2050-60, doctors, scientists, and engineers started going missing. they were being kidnapped by an organization referred to as The Citizens, who's original goals were to instigate a war between the U.S and China, which they hopes would spread to a world war. They supplied both sides with biowarfare technology and eventually convinced China to A-Bomb the U.S. and when that happened, the whole country was driven to chaos, and at this time, walls have been built around all borders, making it impossible to enter or leave if you aren't allowed. When the gov't heard that bombs were coming, they put the country on lockdown, which locked all gates out of the country. So, when the bombs dropped in all major cities, radiation was an issue in most places, and even the places that were untouched by bombs were overrun with people fleeing to these places and bringing chaos with them. 2 months after the bombs, The Citizens is under new leadership and their new goal is to help all the people they had hurt, whether it be the viruses and diseases they helped spread, or the bombs they supplied to china, but this doesn't entirely go as planned, due to the public's distrust of the group, despite the new leadership.

Notes

the government banned the creation of new official forms of expression [figure out why] so this includes music, movies, tv shows, books, etc. This means that most people listen to music decades before their time.
