Nociborn

A type of Craftborn associated with Nocimancy.

The body of a Nociborn is covered in a chitinous exoskeleton that is notoriously difficult to pierce. Their hands and feet are clawed, and they only possess two fingers and a thumb per hand and two large toes per foot. The exoskeleton also covers their snake-like head, but the plates become flat and smooth, more closely resembling scales. From the head extend several pairs of short black horns that jut out and back. Their eyes have yellow sclera and round, black pupils.

Nociborn possess a tail that strongly resembles the abdomen of an insect. At the end is a sharp stinger capable of delivering a powerful venom. This venom also extends to the Nociborn's two long fangs, which are the only teeth they have. They do not chew their food, instead swallowing everything whole, though most Nociborn still prefer their food cut into smaller pieces to avoid the odd looks that come from extending their jaw.

The public is often especially hostile towards Nociborn mutants, wary of their ability to inflict harm on a distant target with only a glance.
