Volatile and borderline robotic, the Chiss are fully organic beings that are as high functioning as any other species. Yet their mindset and core values tend to make them very dangerous. Facts, truths, and assimilation are the prerogatives. All or nothing for the Hive. The queen is their goddess and her word is law. Emotions are a hindrance and a "glitch" in their biological programming, but beneath the underbelly of chitin and a hard shell, Chiss are known to have some sense of individualism and loyalty to those that help them.

Exoskeleton coloration ranges from dark blues and greens with deep undertones of black.

At a larval state, they've been known to be the size of grains of rice to as big as bee larvae depending on their ranking and they eventually grow to be around various heights depending on their status.

Larval - Small, maggot-like when outside their host.

Pupae - A "chief" appears larger than the other larvae that has dominated as main communicator via host and appears to look like an oversized beetle grub.

Workers - Ant-like and sturdy. Higher stamina and endurance, but not apt enough in combat.
