Ellifié

The beauty of the stars themselves are woven into the Ellifié. Fey like, agile, and eyes of suns and moons, they are the supposed people of the heavens that currently dominate authority over the galaxy by being some of the most technologically refined species throughout multiple solar systems. Yet with all that beauty and grace, there is a horrifying ugliness to Ellifié that only the survivors of their wrath speak upon.

Similar to humans, the Elli are upright, humanoid beings of narrow frame.

The Ellifie come in an array of tones ranging from their cousins having similar tones to that of humans, to their high borne and royal kin being gilded or even silver. Yet the most unique form is that their skin pigmentation often has a pearlescent-like sheen to it when touched by light.

On average, the common and lesser born Elli are about as tall or short as humans, although those that are kin to royalty tend to reach heights of a little over 7ft, but there have been reported cases of Ellifie being nearly 8ft.

Depending on the health, occupation, and lifestyle of the Ellifie, their weight can often vary, but on average they tend to be fairly lightweight compared to other races.

Most, if not all, Ellifie tend to appear androgynous in some way. Although there are some stark appearances given certain occupations, most Ellifie tend to uphold a very neutral appearance.

Depending on the occupation, this can vary greatly, but many an Ellifie go by status and wealth to represent their appearance to give indication of rank and nobility.

Commoners and lesser kin often wear neutral colors and rarely accessorize, let alone bother with jewelry, yet one can easily spot nobles and royal folk who often wear the finest made attire that they're able to afford or have custom made.

Among many races, Ellifie are known to have impecable eyesight and remarkable hearing compared to most races. They're also attuned to having certain levels of telepathy that range from Telempathy, to pushing inanimate objects, to outright cognitive cerebral exchange. Their great, telepathic ability has been both an advantage and hindrance in some cases where they often rely too greatly on their mental abilities.

Ellifie tend to struggle with reproduction due to their immortal lives and their conflicts of social structure that inhibit them to follow certain protocols. Although their reproductive cycle/anatomy is closely similar to humans, they have longer gestation cycles as well as the biological factor being hard to configure exactly when an Ellifie is ready to bear children.

Be it because of anatomy forcing to be too narrow or simply through evolution, Ellifie's birth rates are both low and dangerous. It's often speculated that due to the Ellifie's tampering with aspects of nuclear technology, constantly performing modifications and accessorized mutations, as well as practicing eugenics in the past; their acts of attempting to play god with their own has caused the backlash of infertility to spring up in the recent hundred years.

Nevertheless, Ellifie have found the alternatives of producing their offspring via gene splicing and cloning, growing their newborns in cylindrical bio chambers before implanting the fetus within willing participants to act as both host and midwife/caretaker to their offspring. Only those who can afford such procedures, let alone finding a willing applicant that is approved of, can undergo the process of having a child.

Those that are lesser or of common kin must endure the more.."traditional" methods of reproduction which often include birth defects and high risk inductive complications.
