Daärizi

A protoplasmic energy race native to the distant dead planet Proxima-117, though many take refuge among other planets now as a means of sustaining a living with their government's recent collapse. These aliens possess powerful electric abilities and an adaptation to living underground in cavernous, volcanic environments.
They are well known peacekeepers through the galaxy and considered a strong ally to the Galactic Federation's operations. They are very well known for their prowess with tech and their amorphous, form shifting abilities. They wield electricity and long range weaponry in battle.

Daärizi were formerly divided into a rank structure that determined everything from their occupation and social status to mission assignments, but after the events of the Great Coup, they have begun actively working towards a less segregated society. These ranks are often worn on display on the Daärizi's armor or clothing as a point of pride or remembrance. Many still hold onto their former titles out of a fear of lost identity.

Most Daärizi have a rather reptilian visage with large jaws and razor sharp claws. They strongly resemble frilled lizards with their fanlike fins and long tails. Younger, lower ranked Daärizi tend to be more humanoid in stance, shifting to a more hunched unguligrade stance as they age and begin to form heavier metallic plates over their bodies.

Daärizi usually possess dark colored hides. The colors black and grey are most common, but they can be tinged by the internal colors of their electric currents and crystalline cores.

All Daärizi are known to wear a metallic face mask over the front of their heads. These are known to be protective to their delicate sensory cores that lie just underneath.
Older Daärizi have a prominent set of carbon horns which jut from just beside their facemasks. The amount of horns and the metallic ridges inside of them are known to be a reliable way to tell a Daärizi's age.

In the past, Daärizi were split more formally by rank, barring all but the highest ranked of their species from their fully sexually developed forms. Many were subdivided into forms best suited to their abilities and This has become much less of a mainstay practice but there is still quite a large amount of variance between individuals

The Daärizi are often curious of other races with a healthy level of skepticism. They tend to hold themselves in high regard due to their own intelligence, only humbled by their current status in the universe.

The Daärizi make heavy use of electric based and stealth technologies. They have also some use of ancient Ionian technology, though much specialized knowledge has been lost over time.

Electrical Impulses: This species can generate powerful electricity and ignores chemical and biological hazards. However, this leaves it vulnerable to water and magnetic forces.
Night Eye: This species can see extremely well in the dark and at night unassisted.
Shapeshifting: This species is capable of shapeshifting.

Technomancy: This race starts with a +2 to int, focus, thanks to a understanding of Aether mechanics.
